The host was super helpful providing local transport information about how exactly to get to the accommodation with a pin drop. Local buses travel to Dubrovnik at least every hour from 300 metres away on the main road. Room was immaculate, spacious with a very comfortable bed. It looks like the accommodation has been recently renovated as bathroom is very spacious and modern. Host even provided local taxi man information to arrange lifts to the airport 2.5kms away around €15 one way during April. Very pleasant stay and I would highly recommend it.

Cavtat is the perfect homebase for visiting Croatia. It's a cozy walkable seaside village with many restaurants, and not overrun with tourists like Dubrovnik. To see Dubrovnik it's easy and cheap to do a day trip from Cavtat, with boats departing many times per day. As a bonus Cavtat is not far from the airport.

For me it’s too late in the year for sea swimming but not...

For me it’s too late in the year for sea swimming but not for sunbathing if that’s your thing. Not for me, good weather is important for boat trips and exploring further afield and this is a good base for that but can be pricey. Nothing much to do in Cavtat at this time of year and basically it all closes down on 31st October. Half the restaurants are still open but I don’t know for how much longer and they are also pricey. Dinner for two with a drink and a glass of wine is is very easily €100 plus. The whole town gets dressed up and comes out for a walk on Sunday. Very nice, just like Italy or Spain. My overall impression is that tourists are coming with holiday money and they want as much of it as possible. I suppose that’s how you only open for 6 or 7 months of the year. So, nice place and a lovely hotel at reasonable price ( but that may be because it was closedown time?) but be ready to spend!

1) It's a small village, so I expected food to be more...

1) It's a small village, so I expected food to be more affordable. Instead, I found a bunch of expensive restaurants. It was the end of the season meaning not many tourists. Still, no discounts, ridiculous prices. I mean 25 eur for a modest pizza, what's that really??? 2) Public parking is virtually non-existant. If you travel by car, make sure your host arrange you a parking spot.

Very nice town with great restaurants and bars overlooking the harbour. Only 7 mins taxi ride from Dubrovnik airport. Boat rides into Dubrovnik take around 50 mins, local bus takes about the same time. Nice places within easy walking distance for a swim in the sea. Would highly recommend Cavtat for a relaxing break.

Very laid back place to visit ,amazing scenery ,very nice helpful locals and only ten minutes from the airport.Really nice walks in the area and a very good bus service to Dubrovnik.Food was really good and reasonably priced .

Great location with many bars and restaurants. Seaside location is fantastic. Town is clean and well maintained and away from the very busy Dubrovnik Old Town. It is on the flight path to Dubrovnik Airport but you don’t really notice the planes. BBQ restaurant was good value.

Fantastic hotel. Seaview with the balcony was something else to wake up to every morning. Facilities were excellent. Golf buggy to get you up the hill after an evening on the harbour front was brilliant. Breakfast was a buffet and it had alot of choices for everyone. The beach area had sunloungers and fresh towels. Staff spoke excellent English and was very helpful. Highly recommended Hotel Croatia. Loads of different areas for drinks and food. Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Stunning view from a comfortable property. Comfortable seating and beds. A 5-8 minute walk into the town. Cavtat is a beautiful , clean area. The apartments are above a garage but that didn’t cause any issues. Well equipped and many of the things detailed in previous reviews as not being in the apartment now are. It was great to do my washing in the machine that is in the bathroom and bring home a suitcase of clean clothes. Would not hesitate to return to these apartments if going back to Croatia.

We really liked the view from our balcony, the cleanliness of our room and the warm welcome on arrival from the gentlemen at reception. Cavtat Village was an easy 5 minute drive for us and there was always ample hotel parking available on our return. We would have walked to Cavtat if staying longer as it's only a 13-15 minute walk. The local beach is right in front of the hotel which was clean, pebbly with clear water... would have been very inviting to swim in during the warmer season!

Beautiful, spacious house. Well equipped large kitchen, good bathroom and air conditioning. We liked the private and small garden where you can relax. It is a short walk to the beach and on the other side there are shops and restaurants. Cavtat is a beautiful place. We enjoyed our vacation here with our family.
