The location is absolutely perfect — perched right above the sea, the hotel offers breathtaking panoramic views that you can enjoy from nearly every corner . Waking up to the sound of waves and watching the sunset over the horizon was truly magical. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Whether it was recommendations for local spots or prompt service, their hospitality was top-notch. The rooms were immaculately clean, spacious, and exceptionally comfortable, with plush bedding and all the modern amenities you'd expect. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is peaceful and inviting. If you're looking for a serene coastal retreat with stunning views, outstanding service, and exceptional comfort, I can't recommend Hotel Vallum enough.

Hotel is located very close of the airport - just 8 minutes ride by taxi. The location is perfect, hotel is on the coast and just 10 minutes walk to Cavtat. Hotel rooms are clean and comfortable, all areas of the hotel are clean too, all inclusive service is great, breakfasts, lunches, snacks and dinners have great choice of different meals, you can use also bars with free drinks - on the beach and in reception hall. Hotel staff is really friendly, hotel offer two big pools, one small pool for children and beach for swimming. At the evening was usually possible to visit some nice performance of local musicians, hotel is great choice for families with children too.

The host Antonio was very friendly and helpful and great at getting in touch with us about check-in and check-out. We stayed in the apartment with the balcony and all we can say is WOW! The balcony ran the length of the apartment, with 3 access doors. Stunning views over the water when sitting in both the lounge and dining areas and even better views outside on the balcony - from being able to see the sun rise over the mountains (if you go to the left end and look around the corner over the pool), to sitting with a coffee and watching the town and local cats 'wake up' each morning, admiring the beauty of the Old Town and hearing the church bells, the boats coming and going, the hustle and bustle of the locals and tourists, and then enjoying a glass of wine and watching the beautiful colours in the sky of the sun setting each evening. The apartment is in the perfect location - the main entrance to the apartments is right by steps that lead straight down to the promenade in less than 5 minutes. If you come out the main entrance and go left, there is a more gentle path down to the promenade and if you turn right, you can get to the Mausoleum of the Racic family via a ramp, which also leads down to the promenade by the Franciscan Monastery/Church of Our Lady of the Snows if you don't want to take the steps. The apartment was perfect - well-equipped, 2 good double rooms with very comfy beds, each with an ensuite. One bedroom has a door to the balcony/sea views, the other has mountain/garden views.

Cavtat is the perfect homebase for visiting Croatia.

Cavtat is the perfect homebase for visiting Croatia. It's a cozy walkable seaside village with many restaurants, and not overrun with tourists like Dubrovnik. To see Dubrovnik it's easy and cheap to do a day trip from Cavtat, with boats departing many times per day. As a bonus Cavtat is not far from the airport.

For me it’s too late in the year for sea swimming but not...

For me it’s too late in the year for sea swimming but not for sunbathing if that’s your thing. Not for me, good weather is important for boat trips and exploring further afield and this is a good base for that but can be pricey. Nothing much to do in Cavtat at this time of year and basically it all closes down on 31st October. Half the restaurants are still open but I don’t know for how much longer and they are also pricey. Dinner for two with a drink and a glass of wine is is very easily €100 plus. The whole town gets dressed up and comes out for a walk on Sunday. Very nice, just like Italy or Spain. My overall impression is that tourists are coming with holiday money and they want as much of it as possible. I suppose that’s how you only open for 6 or 7 months of the year. So, nice place and a lovely hotel at reasonable price ( but that may be because it was closedown time?) but be ready to spend!

1) It's a small village, so I expected food to be more...

1) It's a small village, so I expected food to be more affordable. Instead, I found a bunch of expensive restaurants. It was the end of the season meaning not many tourists. Still, no discounts, ridiculous prices. I mean 25 eur for a modest pizza, what's that really??? 2) Public parking is virtually non-existant. If you travel by car, make sure your host arrange you a parking spot.

Very nice town with great restaurants and bars overlooking the harbour. Only 7 mins taxi ride from Dubrovnik airport. Boat rides into Dubrovnik take around 50 mins, local bus takes about the same time. Nice places within easy walking distance for a swim in the sea. Would highly recommend Cavtat for a relaxing break.

Very laid back place to visit ,amazing scenery ,very nice helpful locals and only ten minutes from the airport.Really nice walks in the area and a very good bus service to Dubrovnik.Food was really good and reasonably priced .

Great location with many bars and restaurants.

Great location with many bars and restaurants. Seaside location is fantastic. Town is clean and well maintained and away from the very busy Dubrovnik Old Town. It is on the flight path to Dubrovnik Airport but you don’t really notice the planes. BBQ restaurant was good value.

We really liked the view from our balcony, the cleanliness of our room and the warm welcome on arrival from the gentlemen at reception. Cavtat Village was an easy 5 minute drive for us and there was always ample hotel parking available on our return. We would have walked to Cavtat if staying longer as it's only a 13-15 minute walk. The local beach is right in front of the hotel which was clean, pebbly with clear water... would have been very inviting to swim in during the warmer season!

This hotel is in a wonderful location with beautiful views of Cavtat. We had a seaview standard room. Great sunny, private balcony. Some rooms are upgraded and this one was not, and so a little tired. Lovely pool area and bar. Great chance to sit down on deck chairs on the cliffs and enter the sea this way. Loved the beach buggies to the town and back, but service varied. Great overall stay and would recommend. Also, Spinakers is a lovely seafront restaurant with great sunbeds!

Pleasant hotel located up from Cavtat. Easily accessed from Cavtat by steps on foot. We stayed one night before going to Dubrovnik airport for a morning flight. Very friendly and welcoming owners. All rooms overlook the pool and sea which is lovely. Pool is small, looked ok, did not swim. Good breakfast. A very convenient location both for Cavtat and Dubrovnik airport.

We had a fantastic family holiday at Villa Tea. It had everything you needed and so comfortable. The outside space is amazing,fabulous pool and kitchen area. The host is always on hand if you need anything. Not far from the airport and cavtat a short drive. Our first time in Croatia and we will definitely come back 😊

Super friendly hosts & very clean place ☀️ AC & small fridge. Beautiful views from balcony. There is a bus stop nearby, easy to travel to Dubrovnik. Everything in Cavtat is within walking distance (supermarkets, restaurants, beaches etc.).
