Very lovely and welcoming host, smooth communication and flexible check-in. We stayed one night before starting our hiking trip, but would definitely come back for a longer stay. The apartment has an amazing location and sea-view from its terrace, it's spacious, clean and exceptionally equipped.

I stayed for two nights in early july 2025 and the experience was just what I’d hoped for. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and everything worked as described. I especially appreciated the friendly owner and good location, that made it easy to reach the city centre on foot. If you’re looking for a hassle-free stay at a fair price, this place delivers.

Baške Oštarije are a great base for many hiking trails on...

Baške Oštarije are a great base for many hiking trails on Velebit mountain. We climbed 10 peaks in 4 days and not one starting point was more then a 20 minute ride away from Baške Oštarije. The village itself has no store, so you need to do your shopping beforehand, or drive to Gospić or Karlobag (20 mins) for groceries, or any other service. There is one restaurant in the village - Hostel Baške Oštarije, and a cheese store with local award-winning cheese.
