Modern and clean hotel rooms, some with sea view, bed was very comfortable, shower and AC worked fine. Hotel and its restaurant is beautiful, food was well done, too, and they got a nice beer selection. The whole hotel feels like an oasis in the middle of Livingston. And the staff is great, especially Carlos made us feel at home, and everyone was super helpful. Bring a bit of time when eating here, they're not the fastest, but the food is worth it.

The property is so nicely done, very comfortable from the moment you arrive. You feel at home here because of the two wonderful hosts that will show you around the area, organise transfers and provide great food! Also the facilities and decor have been done very beautifully so that you can just hang out in your bungalow and enjoy the quiet. Arriving by boat from Rio Dulce the boat dropped me off right at their pier and departing for Punta Gorda the boat picked me up at their pier. Nice and handy to town. But what made the stay exceptional was the owner Stuart, an American that has been there for decades and knows the area extremely well. Myself only speaking English, Stuart's help with immigration & booking the boat to take me to Belize was above and beyond any place I've stayed around the world.

This hotel is PERFECT. Ismal the owner has a really good vibe. I felt at home, their is all you need here. The morning view is splendid. I had a bed with a view on the water. I could not have dreamt of something better for my last days in Guatemala. I recommande STRONGLY this hostal. You will not regret it.

The best reason for staying here is the manager, Giovanni. He is a bilingual jewel. Great with arranging trips up the Rio Dulce but even more describing the history of the area.

Marta and family run an awesome hotel. The make every effort to make you feel welcome and your stay as wonderful and possible! It gives a fairly unique home stay feel which we really loved. We stayed in a simple but comfortable and clean bungalow. There is a great eating area and place to relax at the river. The food was all delicious! We rented kayaks and had a beautiful paddle into one of the tributaries and then finished off swimming in the natural hot spring a short paddle from Casa Maya.
