The property is so nicely done, very comfortable from the moment you arrive. You feel at home here because of the two wonderful hosts that will show you around the area, organise transfers and provide great food! Also the facilities and decor have been done very beautifully so that you can just hang out in your bungalow and enjoy the quiet. When we arrived we felt like at home. All of their workers there are super nice, have a nice smile and they make everything happen that you feel super nice there. The standard of everything there is just higher than in any other hotel we have been so far in Guatemala. If it comes to the shower, bathroom, bed or any other facilities, it’s just great! Also the small details! And the best thing is really as already mentioned the staff there. This is one of the hotels where you will say in a few years, remember the „El Viajero“ in rio dulce, and you‘ll immediately remember which one it was.

Finca Tatin Hotel has an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, a garden and shared lounge in Lámpara. Among the various facilities are a terrace, a bar, as well as a tennis court.

An amazing hostel located up the Rio Finca which flows into the Rio Dulce. Having stayed at another lovely hostel close to the town of Rio Dulce, I would say this end of the river is more beautiful and unspoilt. You can take kayaks out and explore the little mangrove creeks near the hostel or venture as far afield as the Biotopo nature reserve. So many suggestions of fun and interesting things to do you could easily spend a week here!

With Ribera Rio Dulce Beach reachable in a few steps, Casa Maya provides accommodation, a restaurant, a garden, a private beach area and a bar. Free WiFi is provided.

Marta and family run an awesome hotel. The make every effort to make you feel welcome and your stay as wonderful and possible! It gives a fairly unique home stay feel which we really loved. We stayed in a simple but comfortable and clean bungalow. There is a great eating area and place to relax at the river. The food was all delicious! We rented kayaks and had a beautiful paddle into one of the tributaries and then finished off swimming in the natural hot spring a short paddle from Casa Maya.

Julio was lovely and the place is as shown. A lovely basic homestay in the middle of nowhere. We were basically the only people staying when we came which was lovely but I can imagine it could feel crowded if it was busy. There's a small shop 2 mins walk through the jungle where you can buy staples but only occasionally has fruit/veg. You're in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do apart from admiring the beauty around you, perfect for what we wanted but don't expect lots to do! Can go swimming in the river.

In the Rio Dulce river near a 16th century castle the Tortugal Boutique River Lodge peninsula is bathed by almost constant on shore breezes providing a cool and refreshing place.

Lovely staff, the food they prepare is really delicious and they're happy to help you out with whatever you might need. Rooms and general facilities are lovely, nested into the lush jungle, hot shower has really good water pressure - stay if you can!

Modern and clean hotel rooms, some with sea view, bed was very comfortable, shower and AC worked fine. Hotel and its restaurant is beautiful, food was well done, too, and they got a nice beer selection. The whole hotel feels like an oasis in the middle of Livingston. And the staff is great, especially Carlos made us feel at home, and everyone was super helpful. Bring a bit of time when eating here, they're not the fastest, but the food is worth it.

Great service from Javier and Enrique. Also all other employees were working with a smile and happy to help you with any kind of questions. We also received a nice tour through the beautiful garden. Easy to reach via whatsapp for any questions like boat pick-ups and happy to give tips for traveling. 5 star service! Rooms are clean and comfortable with great beds and it is a beautiful place.
