The location of the house is in a quite area 5 minutes by foot from the beach. It has a big veranda and all around are trees and grass so our little daughter could play around the house. Dionisis, the host is a very nice person ready to help when needed. I really value that he has taken me several times by car to a big supermarket. In this location is difficult to go buy grocery as the nearby supermarkets are very poor supplied with food. During our stay, Dionisis mother and father prepared very tasty cakes and a meal of beans, which were both delicious.

We returned to Canale this year, and once again it met and exceeded our expectations. As a designer of luxury residences hotels I travel widely to experience what's out there. This is simply one of the best boutique luxury hotels in the world. A quiet unassuming elegance that is so refreshing ! It was wonderful to see hosts Spiros and Alexandra again, who are absolute assets to the Canale. There is nothing too small for them; and they go out of the way to make sure everything is perfect for you. A huge congratulations and I look forward to visiting again !

We were pleasantly surprised from the moment we arrived. The hotel is spotless, the rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and cleaned daily. We were lucky to receive an upgrade from our host, Anastasia, who is absolutely wonderful! We stayed in a huge room with a gigantic and very comfortable bed – we especially appreciated the Coco Mat mattress. She also kindly arranged a late check-out for us, which we were very grateful for. The hotel is located right on the beachfront. I believe it has around 11 rooms, most of them offering stunning sea views. The sandy beach is literally in front of the hotel – small but with a few sunbeds and umbrellas. There’s also a good restaurant right next to the hotel. Lixouri is a small, charming village with a relaxed and authentic vibe. It’s not overcrowded with tourists, which was a big plus for us. All the restaurants are just a short walk away, and the ferry to Argostoli (the island’s capital) is very close, running every 30 minutes.
