We absolutely loved La Moara. It’s in the middle of the remote Valia Calda mountains, cozy and warm - fires in the bedrooms, fur rugs on the chairs, no sound but birdsong and the river running below. Some rooms are in treehouses and some are on wooden walkways. We had the warmest welcome I can remember from the owners and Petra. They were incredibly friendly and kind, and made us a delicious dinner full of local specialities and a lavish home cooked breakfast. We had a fantastic time exploring the valley - we found bear prints on the bank downstream! Valia Calda is in the Pindus national park so is full of incredible wild animals and plants. It was glorious to be so taken care of and feel so close to nature. This would be a wonderful place to watch the seasons change. We didn’t have time to check out the sauna and Turkish bath but I imagine it would be especially lovely in winter.

Everything. Yhe owner super friendly and helpful more than I expect. (The owner should know and understand what I mean) The room very big, clean and comford. The meal delicious (at least to me, tasty). The place very quiet and peaceful, a very good place to relax and refresh yourself. I stay 4 nights there and really love this place. The best experience and memory during my whole trip.

Beautiful authentic Greek country house with amazing views The village is also very cozy The breakfast was great for 5 euros, the owner's mother bakes excellently and cooks exceptionally well. We had a good dinner there, approx. 12 euros per person) We rented the house for 5 people, but it would be suitable for up to 10 people.

Easy to find, near the entrance to Metsovo, on the main street. Easy walk to the center, moderately downhill. Parking in garage under the hotel, with elevator to lobby/rooms. Approach to garage might seem tricky, but apparently easier than most in Metsovo. Welcoming and helpful staff.

How wonderful this place must be during 4 seasons!!! We enjoyed colors of fall during our stay and we could imagine how wonderful spring and summer seasons could also be in this place. We could also imagine watching snow or rain in the fantastic glass roof of its restaurant, with the company of kind, lovely staff, peaceful classical music played all day long and yummy local food. What we also like is the view from our room. Our walks to the village and the old stone bridges near the hotel have been one of the best memories of our Greece trip.
