The view is absolutely stunning, as well as the property. The owner is really very kind, he did pick us up from the ferry, which was very convenient. The room have a terasse with the view, as well as full equipped kitchenette.The breakfast was served and it was excellent, especially the omelette as well as the greek specialities. We liked the coffee and the juice. It was very peaceful place. To the downtown you can take stairs, oposit the supermarket and then continue down the hill for 20 minutes. You can take as well bus for 2,50 EUR which is going to Pedi beach where you can take beach taxi to different beaches, the bus continues to the center. In the center you have several shops, cafes and as well small and nice beach. We did loved this place as it gave as really the very unique and autentic holiday feeling in Simy.. Next time we will booked the place again.

Beautiful island with amazing Italianate architecture. Lots of wonderful, reasonably priced eateries. Everywhere felt safe in terms of very low crime. But beware that there are few beaches within walking distance of the main town. You have to rely on ferry taxis and they don't run after about October 18th. I can imagine it gets so much busier everywhere in mid-season and maybe it is not as relaxing as we found it at the end of the year.

I'd absolutely recommend symi it's a beautiful island ,stunning even. If I could give one piece of advice it would be to go for a few days not just a day boat trip from Rhodes. To fully appreciate this little island you really do need to spend at least one night this would allow you to at least be able to explore the old town above the harbour with its very steep and narrow lanes plus two or three excellent restaurants.Be aware that that the old town above the harbour is accessible via extremely steep stairways extremely steep.

Charming island with beautiful harbor and authentic village...

Charming island with beautiful harbor and authentic village on top of it. Beautiful beaches, scattered all around the island. Some of them reachable by bus, taxi or on foot, others are reachable by taxi boat. Love Agios Nikolaos and fish tavern on it with fresh wild fish, love swimming from Agia Marina to small island with the little church there. Of course, Agios Georgios is incredible place. The island is not for mass tourism, of course the boats come during a day, but most of them are not staying overnight. Some wildlife - spotted seal on the beach in Nimborio, and the other person saw turtles on Marathounda beach. Excellent taverna Tholos, close to port, our long time favorite, also liked a lot Zoe and Kali strata in the village. And for a Christian, it is a must to visit both Archangel Michael monasteries - Panormitis (newer) and Roukouniotis (older) with frescoes that date back to 15th century. Also, for an Orthodox a surprise visit to Sergii Sarovski church.

The island has beautiful beaches which can be accessed by water taxi. The swimming and snorkelling are amazing. We saw a variety of fish, squid and a turtle. The harbour area is quite commercial and busy when the day trippers are there. However, when they have returned to Rhodes, it;s a very peaceful island. It's worth exploring the many small streets and myriads of steps that wind up the hillside. It's easy to get lost but that's part of the fun. The food shops are relatively small but we found plenty for self-catering. There are some very good restaurants in the town (there were some super-yachts staying every night we were there) and the prices we paid weren't too bad. It's a very special island and well worth a stay.

Like being in a Cornish fishing port.

Like being in a Cornish fishing port. Busy during the day around the harbour area, so head out. At night when the day trippers return, absolutely fabulous, without exception all lovely people to share the atmosphere with.

Plenty to offer in the way of shops restaurants etc, good beaches can be reached by water taxi, particularly liked St Marina for its facilities and ease of getting in and out of the sea (12€ return by water taxi) Pedi was also nice, I went by bus 2.5€ each way. Although I enjoyed my stay I prefer a less busy island that hasn’t embraced tourism to the degree Symi has!

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Thea in Symi. The location is perfect — just a short walk to the harbor. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. Yorgo, the owner, welcomed us at the port and was always there to help with tips about the island. The rooms are cozy with a nice balcony to enjoy a drink. Restaurants, cafés, and a market are nearby, and the bus stops right in front of the hotel. I would definitely stay here again – highly recommended for a hassle-free and enjoyable holiday!

It is an incredibly beautiful house with the most beautiful interior and view. One of the best things was the beds, which are very often hard in Greece, but here were perfect and what's a holiday without a good night's sleep.
