In my opinion, Phos Hotel is simply the best hotel in Agia Marina – hands down. No other hotel in the area can match it in terms of design, equipment, location, or service. I’ve stayed in around 10 different hotels here over the years, and nothing comes close to the level of comfort and quality Phos offers. I’ve known this hotel since before it officially opened, and I’m still impressed every time I visit. Everything is well thought-out, modern, and beautiful – from the rooms to the shared spaces. The staff is exceptional: warm, attentive, and always professional. The location is ideal – close to the beach, restaurants, and shops, yet peaceful and quiet. If you’re looking for a place that truly combines style, comfort, and authentic Greek hospitality, Phos is the one. I can’t recommend it enough – this is where you want to stay in Agia Marina.

My stay at the Elia Platanias Hotel was simply fantastic and exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, i was warmly welcomed and immediately felt at home. The entire staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always available to assist with any questions or requests. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, combining modern elegance with the charming essence of Crete. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean, and stylishly furnished, offering breathtaking views of either the sea or the meticulously maintained garden. Despite the lively atmosphere in the surrounding area, with bars and clubs nearby, the hotel provided a peaceful and comfortable retreat where i could unwind. The beach right in front of the hotel is clean and well-maintained, with comfortable loungers and shaded umbrellas. The crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean invite you to swim and relax – simply perfect! Breakfast was another highlight. There was a wide selection of fresh, regional products that left nothing to be desired. From fresh fruit to local specialties and international classics, everything was available. The hotel’s location is ideal for those who enjoy being close to the action: restaurants, bars, and shops in Platanias are all within easy walking distance. Additionally, the proximity to Chania, one of Crete’s most beautiful cities, is another great advantage. All in all, I had an unforgettable vacation at Elia Platanias. The combination of excellent service, a lively location, and outstanding cuisine makes this hotel a true hidden gem in Crete. I will definitely return and highly recommend Elia Platanias to anyone looking for a vibrant and luxurious holiday on this beautiful island.

Excellent location right in the heart of Platanias centre. The staff were incredibly kind and provided us with all the information we needed about the area. There's a private adults-only beach bar as well as a swimming pool, adding to the relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are fully equipped with kitchen tools and fire trays, making it an ideal choice for a long-term stay. Our visit became even more special as we celebrated our anniversary, and the staff surprised us with a thoughtful gesture. Truly kind and professional team. Highly recommended!

Everything was perfect - the staff were exceptional nothing was a problem. it was a happy place to be and we made friends. Spotless cleaning each day by the cleaning ladies. I broke the key in the lock and it was sorted out in no time and no charge. The bar staff were so brilliant and the Tuesday night greek dancing was the best night we had in Crete - highly recommended. The Chef took great pride in his food and so he should - it was homemade and so tasty. we loved the beach chairs and he always had a warm smile to greet us each day ❤️ ❤️

This is the best apartment I've ever stayed in during my trip to Europe. The host is the most enthusiastic and friendly person I've ever met. She prepared everything I needed for me! Everything in the apartment is so perfect - clean and big beds, beautiful gardens and a sunny living room. It's only a few steps away from the beach. This place is like a little oasis with its lovely style, comfortable rooms&balcony, and a gorgeous garden with trees, sunshades, and loungers overlooking the sandy beach. It is super close to the town center, packed with shops and restaurants that stay open very late. Effi was awesome from the moment we arrived. She was there to greet us and had many great suggestions for activities and beaches we’d love. You could always reach her either online or in person, which was super convenient. We had great chats about tennis too…:) When the apartment parking was full, she got us a spot in an underground garage just a 5-mins walk away. On our last night, she hosted a bbq with Greek food and wine for everyone. While we did check out other beaches in Crete, honestly, just hanging out at the apartments and in Platanias would have made for a perfect getaway all by itself. It’s definitely a place worth coming back to! Plus, the kids adored the friendly cats that hang around nearby.
