A modern apartment in a great location with a beautiful view of the beach. A very friendly and sociable person waiting for our arrival. Additional requests were taken into account and a nice gift was waiting for us in the fridge. Several beaches within a 20-minute walk. Close to restaurants. There was only one shop in the village. A unique road to the settlement! The only thing I can complain about is that the stay was definitely too short, but that's our problem. I recommend it and will definitely return if possible.

This was by far our most pleasant experience with renting a holiday home. The host is an incredibly generous, kind, and helpful person who really went above and beyond to ensure our stay was most enjoyable. She made sure we had everything we needed and we are so very grateful for her amazing hospitality and genuine kindness! The whole experience exceeded our expectations. The apartment, which is tasteful and spacious (with high ceilings), had everything we needed and actually looked even better in reality than on photos. The well equipped open-plan kitchen was perfect for cooking (plenty of cookware/crockery/utensils) and we really enjoyed having our family meals on the balcony overlooking the mountain massif as well as the sea. There's a grocery shop with a butcher (!) just around the corner and a few nice taverns by the sea. The sea, which is just meters away, had crystal clear water and the beaches were absolutely amazing with very few people (at times it felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves). We really had a special time there. We felt that we could experience authentic Cretan hospitality in this village and felt very welcome throughout our 8 day stay.

We had a great time at Apollo. The hotel is situated just in front of the sea a bit away from the main area so it’s peaceful and has exceptional views. Both mister Giorgos and miss Despoina were super friendly and helpful and made us feel like home. The room was spacious and bright. We had the best possible sea view and sunrise from our balcony. The room also had a small stove which was convenient. We loved it and we will definitely come back! Also we eat at the restaurant and the stuffed veggies were delicious. Thank you mister Giorgos and miss Despina for the great hospitality.

This is NOT a destination for tourists - even local Cretans...

This is NOT a destination for tourists - even local Cretans do not go here It is a totally isolated small hot rock black beach (200 meters) with 2 small cafe/restaurants. You will need a car to get around since no taxis/buses etc in the area. Getting there by car is a treacherous single lane road with hairpin turns up and down mountains. From Heraklion - expect to take 90 minutes - IF driver knows the way! The NAME of the apt used to be Seaside Beach Apt” - and no one could tell us new name! Our taxi driver spent nearly 45 minutes looking for the place! Expect to speak Greek to get ANYTHING done.
