We stayed at Sea Breeze Apartment in July and had a wonderful time. The apartment was very clean, cozy, and well equipped, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The location is quiet and peaceful, but still close to the beach and local places. The host was kind and helpful, which made everything even better. We loved our stay at Kalithea studio. The studio is well located and with a stunning view. The apartment is well equipped (which was rarely the case in the other places where we stayed at) and spacious. Moreover, Andrea (the owner) is very friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend staying there.

The location was perfect for us. We could walk into the town in the evening for a meal, some shopping etc. and not have to drive anywhere and think about parking. It was very easy to get to the coast. Within half an hour you could get to several different bays including Vai. Parking was very easy and the rooms were very good. The details that many people forget such as tea, coffee, oil etc. were all provided. The pool was cleaned nearly every day, but unfortunately it was too cold for us to use it.

Tiny village with a great atmosphere.

Tiny village with a great atmosphere. We attended to a traditional event, with cretese music and dances, and in the area you can find very interesting historical sites. The beaches are very close and nice (the coast is facing east, so there are no waves in case the strong wind is blowing). Our favourite beaches have been Kouremenos for windsurfing and Itanos/Paralia for swimming. The best restaurants we tried are Mythos in the village centre and Elia in the close village of Agathias that you can reach on foot in ten minutes. Pharmacy, restaurants, shops, markets. Here you can find all you need for a perfect stay!

Relaxed small village, nice restaurants and far away from the crowds. Perfect for windsurfing holiday, you need to like the wind. We visited it in July and it was relatively quiet, and started to be busy towards the end of the month. Hellas restaurant in the center was our favourite, together with the beach bars

Palekastron is a nice wee village, perfect for exploring the east of Crete. It is close to plenty wonderful beaches both North and South in the Lassithi prefecture. The village itself has numerous choices for food, bakery and market for groceries (at least in the summer). I would definitely visit again.

Palekastron is a nice peaceful village with some good tavernas, where you can taste a very good food at a reasonable price. It is about 1,5 km away from the Kouremenos beach. Palekastron is also a good starting point to visit Vai and another nice beach a few km further on (near the archeologic site) in one direction (to the north) and Zakros with it's very attractive beach in another direction (to the south). One can really relax and enjoy in Palekastron.

A small, quiet, authentic, and charming town. Numerous quality restaurants and shops. Beautiful beaches very close by. Magnificent hinterland. An unmissable stop in this part of eastern Crete, one of the most beautiful in the country. The people are welcoming, helpful, smiling, and charming, just as Cretans know how to be.

As a windsurfer, the strong, constant wind is a blessing, but for non-water sports enthusiasts, it can be quite intense. The location is peaceful, away from mass tourism. Absolutely beautiful. You can eat very well everywhere. We ate at eight different tavernas, and all were excellent.

For a start I got a very warm Welcome and I felt at home straight away. The room was very comfortable and very clean. Lots of stowage capacity which is often missing in new hotels. The bathroom had a roof light which I enjoyed very much. I also liked the balcony where you could also hang out your washing and enjoy the views into a flower filled backyard. Breakfast was very nice as well. Always fresh bread and their own home products. The family running the hotel was very nice and very helpful making my stay a real pleasure.

Our stay at Hotel Marina Village was amazing. The location was perfect, close to all the beaches around and to the village but also very secluded. The staff were very welcoming and kind. To our surprise there was a tennis court in the property. It was definitely the perfect choice for a relaxing trip.
