The hotel is set in an olive grove and the entrance is resplendent with bougainvillea. The pool was a great option when one wanted to cool off instead of going to the beach. Breakfast was tasty, filling, and nutritious. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Hotel Marina Village was excellent value for money and I would highly recommend it to others. Palaikastro is an unspoiled part of Greece that I would definitely like to visit again.

This was the 2nd time I have stayed here and everything was perfect again! The apartment is very comfortable and spacious with wonderful cooking facilities and everything you could need. I was on a windsurfing trip so the big drying rack on the patio was very handy. The location is fabulous, only a couple of minutes drive to the beach and to the shops and restaurants in Palekastro, but in a lovely quiet location with no noise at night. The little extra touches from the owners such as a box of freshly baked cake on arrival, olive oil and fresh eggs and cucumbers during the stay was really thoughtful. Will definitely be back to stay here again.

The most awesome stay we could have in palaikastro village. Miltos was such a happy and helpful host, showed us around and was there for anything we might need. Our luxury holiday villa was spotless, the pool was absolutely clean as well, private and relaxing.. max 10 minutes walk until Xiona beach and 2 minutes by car. I recommend this villa! Will definitely be back soon!

We stayed at Sea Breeze Apartment in July and had a wonderful time. The apartment was very clean, cozy, and well equipped, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The location is quiet and peaceful, but still close to the beach and local places. The host was kind and helpful, which made everything even better. We had an incredible stay at Kalithea Studio. The location was perfect, with easy access to the village and the beaches. This has been our favourite holiday spot after visiting Crete for over ten years. The accommodation was perfect—well-equipped with fresh linens, comfortable beds, under-bed storage for suitcases, plenty of drawer and wardrobe space, a large bathroom with a shower and a washing machine, a kitchen area, and comfy sofas. Outside, we enjoyed a sunny balcony with magnificent views of Palekastro. Andrea is an exceptional host who made our stay truly enjoyable.

Tiny village with a great atmosphere.

Tiny village with a great atmosphere. We attended to a traditional event, with cretese music and dances, and in the area you can find very interesting historical sites. The beaches are very close and nice (the coast is facing east, so there are no waves in case the strong wind is blowing). Our favourite beaches have been Kouremenos for windsurfing and Itanos/Paralia for swimming. The best restaurants we tried are Mythos in the village centre and Elia in the close village of Agathias that you can reach on foot in ten minutes. Pharmacy, restaurants, shops, markets. Here you can find all you need for a perfect stay!

Relaxed small village, nice restaurants and far away from the crowds. Perfect for windsurfing holiday, you need to like the wind. We visited it in July and it was relatively quiet, and started to be busy towards the end of the month. Hellas restaurant in the center was our favourite, together with the beach bars

Palekastron is a nice wee village, perfect for exploring the east of Crete. It is close to plenty wonderful beaches both North and South in the Lassithi prefecture. The village itself has numerous choices for food, bakery and market for groceries (at least in the summer). I would definitely visit again.

Palekastron is a nice peaceful village with some good tavernas, where you can taste a very good food at a reasonable price. It is about 1,5 km away from the Kouremenos beach. Palekastron is also a good starting point to visit Vai and another nice beach a few km further on (near the archeologic site) in one direction (to the north) and Zakros with it's very attractive beach in another direction (to the south). One can really relax and enjoy in Palekastron.

While we only stayed for one night, we enjoyed the modern bathroom, the comfortable beds and the clean room. Check-In was easy and quick. There are several restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel that can be reached by foot. We did not use the pool, but it looked clean. The breakfast was okay for one night, though we would have appreciate a bigger selection of fresh and healthy options for a longer stay. The hotel is close to a variety of beautiful beaches if you have access to a car.

This is the ideal place to truly unwind and be surrounded with nature! Look no further, if you want tranquility ♥️🙏 a lovely small house and we will never stay anywhere else when we will visit this part of Crete in the future. Nikos and his wife are so lovely and thoughtful. They welcomed us with whatever we needed and more during our stay. The house is a labour of love. 💕
