The apartment we stayed at was roomy yet very cosy, and spotlessly clean, so we felt right at home. It is furnished to comfortably accommodate families of up to six people, with plenty of beds, sofas, and two large dinner tables (one in the main room, one in the winter garden), plus a terrace area with outside seating, beach chairs, and swinging chairs. The kitchen is well-equipped (stove, oven, microwave, large fridge, kettle), providing enough plates, cutlery, and utensils to allow cooking your own meals (or ordering in without having to eat straight out of the containers). Clotheslines on the porch make it easy to dry beach towels and bathing suits over night. Wi-Fi and air conditioning worked flawlessly. Soap, shampoo, towels, and extra blankets are provided. For guests travelling with children, there are ample toys available for all ages, including board games. There are several apartments on the property, but they are generously spaced, so each of them is nicely secluded. Parking is right outside. The surrounding area is quiet, peaceful, and—according to the host—absolutely safe (which matches our experience). A 5-minute drive gets you to the beach. Communication with the host, George, was swift and easy. Ahead of our stay, he made sure we would have no trouble finding the place, and was very accommodating regarding the check-in time. When we arrived, he welcomed us with open arms and fresh fruit (of which he provided more the next day!), showed us around the apartment and property, and helped us settle in. George is one of the warmest, most hospitable people we have had the pleasure of encountering during our journeys. Friendly, kind, knowledgeable about the area (his beach recommendation was spot-on), and happy to make his guests’ stay as pleasant and special as possible, always with a smile. Everything was wonderful, it was like staying in a 5 star hotel, with all you need and more, with a gorgeous view of the see, just like you see in the photos. The host was magical, she helped us finding the building, she showed us everything around. We found treats, wine, water, natural orange juice, fresh eggs, fruits…. A lot of things that you usually don’t find in a hotel (not even am all inclusive one). She also gifted toys to our kids… she was wonderful. Everything was brand new, beautiful and clean. You could find parking really fast just outside the building, free parking, was self check in … around you could find a lot of restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, playgrounds, beach, everything you want was right there…. We had a perfect stay and we are planning to come back with our extended family because there is an apartment right beside…. Thank you for everything… it was our first time in Greece and you maded a wonderful experience for us… very nice and friendly people

We were welcomed warmly, with free snacks and wine in the fridge! The apartment is very well furnished and has all the appliances you may need. The couches and beds are comfortable. There is more than enough space to store everything in the rooms. The host is very responsive and attentive. A little help: try not to park your car at the height of the neighbour's garage, but rather close to the main street. Btw: the hairdryer is in the vanity of the master bedroom. We highly recommend a stay in the Aegean Escape if you want to discover the region around Marathon.

We had a wonderful three nights at this beautiful apartment. The entire place is stylishly renovated, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully designed. The layout with two large bedrooms and an airy living area is spacious, filled with natural light, and offers beautiful views. The fully equipped kitchen made cooking a joy. The balconies and terrace are absolute highlights - perfect for morning coffee while watching the sunrise, sunbathing during the day, or evening drinks with uninterrupted sea views. The apartment felt both peaceful and comforting. The location is excellent - about 30 mins drive from Athens airport and just a short walk to Mati Beach and conveniently close to Nea Makri’s town centre, yet perfectly quiet at night. Free parking, reliable Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and even a washing machine were the kind of amenities that made our stay effortless. The host, Evily, was exceptional: welcoming, responsive, and genuinely considerate. Everything we needed was taken care of with warm and prompt communication from start to finish. The delicious, incredibly sweet figs from the hosts' own garden were a fantastic bonus, and I’m very grateful to Evily for going the extra mile to send back an item I had forgotten on departure. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer — a rare sign of a stay that feels just one night too short. I can’t wait to return and highly recommend this gem to anyone visiting the area!

Very nice location in a quiet neighborhood, few minutes away from the beach of the town center by car. Easy parking outside. Lots of nice trees in the patio which should provide much needed shade and cool in the summer months. The house was very clean, cozy and fully equipped. Very good wi-fi. Hot water available at all times and central heating as well. The hosts were very polite and easy to communicate with.

It's a big spacious villa just on the 1st line of a comfortable beach with a blue flag. Lovely hosts are very pleasant and are always accessible via phone. The house is amazing, with big windows and terassa's/balconies with magnificent views of sea, sunrise and fresh wind. You can enjoy dining there or a morning cup of coffee. The house is equipped with everything to make your vacation comfortable: all for cooking, plenty of towels, dishwasher, washing machine, conditioners and even books, table games, some toys. There are cafes, restaurants, and supermarkets within walking distance. There's an endless seaside promenade for jogging or walking. The sea and beach are comfortable even for small children. It's a perfect choice to enjoy a vacation with a big family (3 bedrooms) or friends. Definitely recommend. We hope to come back. Big thanks and hugs for hosts! 🤗

This is a great place close to the water and many restaurants and shopping. We walked most places but took a taxi to Marathon. This is a local holiday vacation place so some apartments were closed for the season but the restaurants were open. We loved it.

There are several very good restaurants with various and delicious dishes close to the property. It is possible to enjoy a smashing sunset from the balcony (which was extremely spacious). All in all it is a great value for the money.

The Nea Makri harbour area was a lovely place to pass time...

The Nea Makri harbour area was a lovely place to pass time with great restaurants and bars. Several beaches which are functional rather than destinations. It was a 5 minute walk from our property to one of the small beaches. Judging by the people we encountered, Nea Makri is used by locals rather than tourists. Closing the harbour road at dusk to turn it into a promenade makes it a great place to people watch. We struck up several conversations with friendly locals.

This was the best place we stayed during our road trip through Greece. The property is right on the beach in Nea Makri and because it was during lighter season, we got an upgrade to a beach-front room. This way we were able to see the most beautiful sunrise right from the balcony. The room was spotless, everything was impecable. I would totally recommend this accomodation.

We really enjoyed our 5 days in this beautiful apartment! The apartment is big, super clean and fully equiped. The host is very nice, sociable and hospitable, helping us in every request we had. Till the next visit here, we will miss Nea Makri and our beautiful, but short stay in here!
