In one sentence I would say, highly recommended place to stay. Location: Mastichari is a very convenient place to stay as Tegaki and Kefalos are both relatively close by private car and only take around 20 minutes. By public bus, anyone can easily travel to Kos town, Tigaki, Kefalos, and even other places, and the public transport is impressive in KOS. We traveled by public transport and enjoyed a lot. The bus station and ferry to Kalymynos are about 5 minutes walking distance. Restaurants(also have breakfast options) and supermarkets are also nearby. Hotel Service: the owner of the hotel is a very nice, helpful, and humble person. Excellent service. Although we didn't book for breakfast, they provided an electric kettle, cups, mugs, enough water bottles, coffee, and sugar as complimentary in the room, which was enough for our 3-night stay. Cleanliness: very clean. Our room and bathroom were top-notch and clean. No insects, bugs, or mosquitoes. The room also has an insect repellent. Room: The size of the room is big enough for 2 persons. The bed is very comfortable and cozy. Even the staff provides extra pillows and bed sheets when we ask. The room had a fridge and air conditioner, fully functional. The bathroom was also very clean. It's a bit long review, but I believe the honest review is a must to choose a good place to stay. This hotel has earned this review.

The stay at Kouros Palace was amazing! The location and facilities were great. It had option to both stay by the pool, or access a private beach. The hotel also arranged transportation to Kos Town, and was very helpful with arringing taxi on the return. The service of the staff was also amazing, and it was such a wonderful experience

Mastichari is lovely!

Mastichari is lovely! It is a chilled Greek village beside a beach with a small terminal for ferries to / from Kalymnos, and a bus stop that will get you to Kos town or the airport. There is a nice variety of tavernas for traditional Greek food, and a handful of bars. Prices in Mastichari are much cheaper than in Kos town! There are a selection of shops that sell a mixture of groceries, booze, and souvenirs. If you need a big supermarket, head up the hill out of the village and you will come to Constantinos, which has everything you need. There's also plenty of places to hire cars etc. The beach is right beside the village. It is very chilled. There are no noisy bars churning out loud music, or noisy motorised watersports. There are some sunbeds, but the beach is not dominated by them. Most of the holiday makers we saw were, like us, middle aged or older (this is not a criticism!). If you are younger and / or want a lively nightlife, this village may not be for you. Everything is fairly flat (unless you go up that big hill above the village), but you will need to tackle a step or two to get into shops and tavernas. The smaller hotels here will have stairs, not lifts, so do your research if accessibility is an issue for you.

We found Mastichari to be a very pleasant place to spend a relaxing week and we would certainly like to return there. It's such a short transfer from the airport but so peaceful and charming. We spent most of our time on the beach by Mastichari village where we used the sunbeds at one of the restaurants (free if you buy a drink). It was also nice to walk along the wilder stretch of beach and stop for a swim. In the evening there are plenty of restaurants and bars in the beach area and also by the harbour. We went by ferry to Kalymnos one day from the harbour at Mastichari. We were there towards the end of September and there were plenty of people around but enough space for everyone on the beach and in the restaurants. Definitely a place to return to!

A very friendly , clean and pretty seaside village with it’s own small harbour for fishing boats, ferries and day trippers The Village is very clean with pedestrian walkways throughout the village leading to all the small tourist shops and tavernas. Many tavernas are beachfront with a lovely chilled vibe . No loud music or competition between taverna owners just a good mix of cuisine from rustic Greek to modern . Choice of travel agencies offering car hire and day trips to local attractions over the island at very reasonable prices. No shortage of sunbeds or places to eat. Small supermarkets and one larger one that cater for all your self catering needs. Perfect place for couples of all ages and famalies

The hotel provided us activities and entertainment everyday for all kind of families, younger kids or teenagers, couples or just friends. My kids (20 and 17) enjoyed the 2 different pools, one was calm for adult the other one was busy for kids and families. There was a short walk to Mastichari village with plenty of bars and restaurants, and cash machine if you need it.

A pleasant seaside village but with more and more 'all -inclusive resorts' encroaching all the time. The locals still offer traditional shops and there are plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from. The port offers regular ferries to Pothia on Kalymnos, so if you fancy a change of island it's easily done.

I booked the room only because I like organising my own breakfast myself, which was possible as ùI had a small fridge in the room and there is a supermarket nearby. My room was comfy enough for me but I must say I just use it to sleep basically! If you spend some time in I suggest you ask for a room with a view. I loved Kostas, he is such a nice host! I definitely recommend the structure and the sea view restaurants for dinner. Get a car if you are staying in Mastichari because the winds may be strong !

The house is suberb and the pool perfect. Located at a few hundred meters from a very calm and clean beach. Very nice sunsets. The small village Mastichari is easy going and relaxed. No disco's and no noisy youth. Perfect. We also rent a car for a good price from the owners (Mastichari Holiday & Car Rental) The owners of the house Peter and Vivi are very kind, and you can ask them for everything.
