We were pleasantly surprised from the moment we arrived. The hotel is spotless, the rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and cleaned daily. We were lucky to receive an upgrade from our host, Anastasia, who is absolutely wonderful! We stayed in a huge room with a gigantic and very comfortable bed – we especially appreciated the Coco Mat mattress. She also kindly arranged a late check-out for us, which we were very grateful for. The hotel is located right on the beachfront. I believe it has around 11 rooms, most of them offering stunning sea views. The sandy beach is literally in front of the hotel – small but with a few sunbeds and umbrellas. There’s also a good restaurant right next to the hotel. Lixouri is a small, charming village with a relaxed and authentic vibe. It’s not overcrowded with tourists, which was a big plus for us. All the restaurants are just a short walk away, and the ferry to Argostoli (the island’s capital) is very close, running every 30 minutes.

It was exactly what we needed : a hotel with all the basic comforts, good breakfast and swimming pool in a large garden with nothing pretentious or fanciful. Having a five year old daughter, we particularly liked the children's pool as well as the presence of a lifeguard. We will definitely come back if in Lixouri!

Great, fully equiped apartment in a lovely village with a wonderful, friendly and helpful host. Close to the beautiful Atheras beach with warm water. From the terrace of the house you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the sunset. If you like animals you can also enjoy the company of three adorable cats near the house. The owner was really kind, even gave us some recommendations what to visit in Lixouri and left us water in the fridge. The location was fantastic since everything is nearby, it’s on a beach and near a port where you can go to Argostoli just for 6€. The rooms were very much clean and it was definitely worth the money.

We stayed at this property at the end of August and overall had a good experience. The location is convenient and the house is comfortable for a family stay. The host was responsive and communication went smoothly. There were some challenges before our arrival, but everything was solved in the end, and we appreciated the effort of the host. The villa is located on a hill, between olive trees, with lots of flowers and pines around. The view simply takes your breath away. It was super clean, comfortable, very spacious and had many amenities. Wonderful hosts, very hospitable, helpful and friendly. They made sure that our stay was perfect! The apartment is great and it actually exceeded our expectations (the photographs do not do justice to what we found on arrival: it was much better than what you can see on the photos). Our host was amazing and extremely helpful, having fresh water and fresh fruits waiting for us on arrival!!! Moreover the apartment was cozy, clean and could easily accommodate a four person family! It is also situated very close to the port/center of Lixouri (less than 3 mins walk) which makes life easy if one wants to get around. Many thanks for the hospitality to our host!!! I will definitely book again if I decide to go back to Lixouri.

Easy ferry connection, large market square with lots of...

Easy ferry connection, large market square with lots of restaurants/bars/cafes and a really good ice cream shop, IScream. Get away from the town for the more remote bits with superb restaurants and beach spots out of the way and easy to get around by car.

Small, friendly town. Loads and loads of restaurants. And cats. Lovely to eat on the harbour front in the evening. Short, cheap ferry ride to Argostoli (saved us a 20+ miles drive on our return to airport).

Loved Lixouri - lovely people, very pretty in the town by...

Loved Lixouri - lovely people, very pretty in the town by the water, in the square and food delicious and reasonably priced. Really enjoyed ourselves - myself, my husband, daughter and her husband. Only point to note-not far to walk in but uphill walk back.

Lixouri itself, it's a vibrant little town with plenty of restaurants and cafe's most of them by the sea front at a reasonable price were you can enjoy a drink or dinner whilst looking at the blue sea and clear skies. (If you like that sort of thing as I do)!

Luxori is a wonderful unspoilt town.

Luxori is a wonderful unspoilt town. There is a square with plenty of Greek tavernas and fish restaurants overlooking the port. If you want to feel like your in a traditional Greek town then Luxori is a great place.

Staying in Lixouri gives the visitor a taste of authentic Greek life. In the central square you can hear and see children playing, parents gossipping, old men putting the world to rights. And all over a coffee or a frappé in the many cafes.

Beautiful location with great view of the sea and mountains, it was very quiet and private. Everything at the Villa for you to enjoy your stay (sunbeds, chairs, towels etc). Well equipped kitchen fridge freezer and oven. A gas BBQ was there as well which worked well. Sheltered parking. It was a good location just a 10 mins walk to Lixouri which is a cool little down to get breakfast, brunch, dinner or a couple of cocktails. Two supermarkets close by, AB in Lixouri and another one if you turn right when you come out.

One of the best villas we have ever stayed at. Everything is absolutely perfect from the lovely pool to the view from the terrace to the modern and well equipped kitchen and bedrooms. The hosts are super helpful and welcoming and helped us have a fantastic stay in Kefalonia. Loved being able to walk into the town for dinner / lunch and our son loved the quick ferry across the bay to Argostoli. Lots of beautiful beaches and places to visit very close too. Cannot recommend Ionian Village more!!!

It's a nice house, on good location with the parking available on the street just in front of the house. It's a ground floor house but have electric roller shutters and we feel completely safe. The house isn’t luxuriously equipped but have all basic stuff there and we were not missing almost nothing. We didn’t meet with the host, but she was responsive and helpful every time we contacted her. Lixouri is a cute place and Kefalonia is fantastic island.

Amazing stay in Kefalonia! We had a truly wonderful experience. The room was clean, cozy, and fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The view was breathtaking, with the sea just in front and the refreshing island breeze adding to the charm. The location is quiet and surrounded by greenery, about a 10-minute drive from Lixouri — perfect for relaxing. I would absolutely stay here again!

The hosts laid on the best welcome basket we’d have ever had! And it was much needed having had a 4 hour delay to our flight and arriving at 10.45pm. The apartment is excellent, Varta beach is one of the best in Kefalonia and there are : good restaurants you can walk to. This is a quieter part of the island but you should include in your intensely - you won’t be disappointed!
