Private swimming pool and the jacuzzi, the garden area and the location. In response to some comments by previous guests, Yes, it does appear to be overlooked but it is by the family that owns the property and they go out of their way to not come out on their balcony, we saw them once in 3 weeks! With regard to the shower being small, there is plenty of room in there to have a shower! The family are always on hand to sort out any problems - very quickly.

Location is very good, only few meters from the beach and good restaurants, we had privacy for our relaxing stay. Comfortable apartment with aircondition in every room, two bathrooms, easy access by car and parking. What else we can expect? Nothing. But the hosts Tota and Aris are extraordinary people with big heart. We felt like we were visiting good friends. I´ve never experienced that before. I want to thank Tota and Artis for their hospitality, gifts, traditional tasty food and all nice words and smiles you had for our family. Very impressive and unforgetable.

We had a fantastic stay! The hotel is small and very relaxed. There’s a lovely pool with super comfortable sunbeds, and the barwoman was absolutely amazing (and always so positive!). The rooms are ideally located, especially since we also got access to the sister hotel’s facilities - several pools, a private beach, restaurants and bars/snack bars, spa and gym. The whole area is huge and staying here really puts you at the center of it all. The food was good with loads of fresh vegetables and fruits. The hotel manager Aris was very attentive and made sure everything was perfect during our stay. Very happy with our choice.

Lardos is a quaint little village away from the pressing...

Lardos is a quaint little village away from the pressing mass tourism of Lindos. You do, however, need to rent a car to get there and get around, especially if you are traveling as a family. If you are in Lardos, you have to dine at Hellas restaurant for outstanding service and food!

lardos and Lothikaria Beach are a quiet sleepy little town...

lardos and Lothikaria Beach are a quiet sleepy little town with some good restaurants and bars. Its a good place to go and relax and close enought to visit Rhodes Old Town and Lindos. Its a great base with good transport links and a great Beach for swimming and snorkelling.

The hotel was good generally with a nice swimming pool and very friendly and helpful staff. The food was all inclusive and very plentiful and generally well cooked. The hotel was spoiled by being on the main road through the town and so a fair number of vehicles going up and down with poor pedestrian facilities. Deciding to fix the water problems in the town as the holiday season began was a mistake and spoiled the town and the facilities in the hotel for a whole day. The trip to the Tsambika monastry was a holiday highlight but beware there are lots of steps to it and a long trek up a steep road before that. The Folklore museum in Lardos also a holiday highlight.

Lardos village holds a Greek night every Tuesday during peak season ( starts around 9:30pm). This involves some Greek dancing and music in the pretty square. Be sure to book a restaurant table early if you intend to go. We particularly liked ‘Valentina’s’ - great restaurant and lovely owner. Lardos Bay hotel is a little out of town so taxis / hire car are essential if you plan to explore. Do yourself a favour and skip the bog all inclusive hotels and stay in the villages to experience the real Greek people and food - you will be hooked!

There isn't much to do in Lardos, but the reason we stayed...

There isn't much to do in Lardos, but the reason we stayed there is because it is near Lindos, which you really just need 1 day to be there, and the weather on this side of the island is better, less windy, the sea is calm and more sunny.

Lardos is a nice small town close to Lindos but cheaper.

Lardos is a nice small town close to Lindos but cheaper. Within 10 minutes driving you can visit Glystra Beach (sandy beach perfect for children), Plakia beach (not sandy but the colors of the sea are wonderful) and Pefkos beach (sandy beach). 20 minutes driving and you are at Agathi beach and it is very beautiful. For dining I recommend: Valantina’s restaurant (everything was delicious!) , Roulas (best moussaka tasted!) and Savvas (more rustic but the souvlakis are really good). I tried also the bakery at the corner of the main square and the orange cake was delicious and also the ice cream! Eating in Lardos is very satisfying and much cheaper than Lindos.

The Villa was amazing . The view was out of this world and although this meant that there was steep hill to negotiate , it was worth it .In villa facilities were fine , rooms comfortable and spacious .There were two restaurants very local which were good and we traveled to other villages by taxi which were reasonable and prompt The local rep ( Lisa ) was very helpful throughout with recommendations etc

Everything was fine- lovely people, nice food, sport games and some evening entertainment activities if you feel like joining. We didn't spend much time in a hotel as travelled around the island more. The beach is not far away just 5min walk - the first 3-4meters bottom covered in pebbles then nice sandy sea bottom.
