Lovely, helpful, friendly hosts, who try their best for their customers. From this town we went to Pachnes, the room had not been reserved on the climbing days. The hosts offered to leave our bags when we returned, the room was cleaned and we stayed another night. We recommend it to everyone who wants to admire the incredibly beautiful view of the mountains and feel the peace of this town. It has no shops or attractions. But it has three pubs and a road through valleys and mountains towards Pachnes. The bar, which is located to the right of the town statue, is staffed by a very friendly bar owner, who also cooks delicious food. If you decide to enjoy nature and stay in these apartments, visit this Cretan bar

I have some dietary requirements and I was well catered for. To my surprise when I sat down for my first meal, the server already knew my restrictions from an email sent months before. I had tips and advice on walks including an idea of how I could hike the Samaria Gorge if it was closed on my intended day. I got lucky on my intended day. On the day of my departure I was waiting for the bus and was given a coffee while I waited even though I'd checked out.

Very big apartment completely dedicated to us with access to the pool. The location is very convenient for Samaria Gorge and it is in reach of nearby restaurants. The location is perfect, very quiet and beautifully surrounded by nature.

Beautiful surroundings, historical village, owners very welcoming, bottled water, biscuits, croissants and local raki were left for us, very clean,soft bedding, amazing jacuzzi, scenic route through the gorge. A great local cheese shop.

Amazing view, location is ~1 hour from most popular beaches, cooler temperatures as it is in the mountains. No need for air con during the night/mornings. The hosts are amazing, very friendly and helpful with everything we needed. The place was exceptionally clean and well organized. Highly highly recommend this new location for anyone. P.S. the host has a popular traditional Greek restaurant downstairs with great food all sourced from their farm.

Very nice small property in the countryside close to Chania with mountain view. Two rooms for a family, with a nice garden where you can eat outside. Many attractions in close distance. We appreciated the confortable bads in a very clean and cosy house.

Lakki is slightly of the usual tourist destinations.

Lakki is slightly of the usual tourist destinations. The village has four traditional tavernas - offering coffee, drinks, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Ideal for walking and experiencing a traditional Cretan village. The village is situated on the norther slopes of the White Mountains and is located on the bus route between Chania and the Samaria Gorge. The Gorge is about 15k from Lakkoi.

A very quiet mountain village with a few tavernas...

A very quiet mountain village with a few tavernas...beautiful walks are possible starting from the village, in the orange grove region (stunning at the end of June). It's next to the botanical garden, a truly peaceful and pleasant place to have lunch. 30 minutes from Chania or Kissamos if you want to reach the sea.
