This place is very beautiful. It has everything you need and more when going to Amorgos: close to the port, close to stores and restaurants, yet in a quiet place with a view of the ocean and a beautiful garden. The room is the best one I've been in all my trip to Greece, with the tipical style for a Greek aestetic, such a comfortable bed, clean and modern bathroom, a fridge and kitchen utensils and a little cute table to take a coffee in the outside. Also, Christos is so kind, he will help with everything you need. I highly recommend it!

The best place to stay! Such a wonderful week- Petros was so helpful. We were met at the port and taken to the beautiful apartment, overlooking the sea. We really enjoyed our stay at Thomas villas. The apartment is very spacious, the bed is very comfy and the view from the balcony is gorgeous. There are very nice breakfast places nearby and getting outside is a real treat each day as you are right at the sea in the beautiful Bay of Katapola. Our hosts were very friendly and helpfu, they communicated well via the booking app and they also gave us a good deal on a rental car. All in all we had a very comfortable stay in Katapola at Thomas'. We highly recommend it!

Walking distance to the port, restaurants, car rental, and a beach. There is a bus that runs sparingly around the island. However, if you want to be adventurous and find historical sites, amazing little towns and hit up the remote nude beaches, you will need a car. In October I paid €60 cash to rent a car for three days. No deposit, no insurance… just a hand shake. It felt like stepping back in time.

EXCELLENT value for money.

EXCELLENT value for money. Host so caring and intetested in his guests. The corner restaurant was very good for an evening meal and the gyros place was great value for money..Bakeries wonderful.You must visit Chora but check where the bus stops to return to port.

if you think Santorini is a bit busy and crowded then head to this island for a bit of the feel of how Greece was 30 years ago With excellent restaurants and secluded beaches ( but you are going to need to hire a car or motorbike although the distances you travel a short , from Katapola to far north 30 min and to the far south 30 min and some of the most spectacular drives you will experience anywhere

Katapola is very convenient because the port is there.

Katapola is very convenient because the port is there. It is recommended if you are going to rent a car, because there is easy access to Chora and the rest of the island. It is a quiet place and has a lot of Tavernas. "Mouragio" is recommended for fresh fish. The salad with Xinotiron is a must try in Amorgos. Xilokeratidi is a nice long walk from Katapola (maybe 15 minutes) , where one can enjoy the sunset. Enjoy your cocktails at "Fata Morgana" and an amazing pulled pork sandwich. "Yukali" on the other hand offers fresh mussels and seafood pasta topped with excellent service. If you like a long hike continue your walk from Xilokeratidi to Agia Paraskevi for the sunset. It is amazing.

Quieter than other big islands and still plenty of good...

Quieter than other big islands and still plenty of good restaurants, rental properties and cars available. An unexpected extra was live music in a garden setting just steps from our lodging on the hillside above the port. Recommend renting a car and seeing other parts of Amorgos as well. I have been to the island twice and would go again!

Katapola is quiet and charming with a good selection of...

Katapola is quiet and charming with a good selection of restaurants around the picturesque harbour. We visited at the end of May when it wasn't busy and the island's landscape was greener and dotted with colourful wild flowers - an ideal time for walkers.

We had a wonderful stay at Porto katapola in Amorgos! The place is cozy, spotless, with beautiful view and a peaceful atmosphere. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, always ready to help with anything we needed and generous. The location is perfect — close to everything, yet quiet enough to truly relax. We felt at home from the very first moment and would happily return on our next trip to Amorgos. Highly recommended!

First of all, we would like to thank the owner for coming to pick us up at the boat and being so smiling and helpful. The hotel has incredible views, and choosing katapola as a place of reference to then move with the car to know the island is a success. It has very nice restaurants nearby and a very good breeze. Everything was clean. If you need to rent a car, you can contact them and they will provide it for you.

When we arrived was great with a lovely smile she showed us few room because we wanted one with a kitchen and took tha one it had a beautiful view of the sea , second the host had a BBQ doing fish we had that it tasted delicious,the host are very friendly welcoming and polite definitely coming back next year lived it in katapola.
