We enjoyed staying at the port.

We enjoyed staying at the port. It is quieter than the Hora (particularly in the evening) but there is a great choice of beautiful, low key family tavernas which gave us some of the best dining experiences of our trip and a great swimming beach. You can also easily walk to Pountia beach and some of the swimming bays between the port and Pountia. The bus service to the Hora runs hourly so you can easily access the restaurants and attractions of the Hora. We loved staying at ANEMI and would stay at Karavostasis for that alone.

The island is beautiful, rugged scenery, dramatic cliffs, gorgeous beaches. The port is quiet with a few casual restaurants. The town of Chora is small and very quaint and it is 4 mins by bus from the port. The church on the hill is worth visiting to see the sunset. Highly recommend the island of Folegandros, away from the hustle and bustle of some of the more popular Greek islands.

Yes it is the beach at this very small port, but is simply lovely, trees for shade, a pebble beach but after a half meter in the water, the rest is sand. Lovely small cove with 3 on beach restaurants. Beach is suitable for your children, off the beach some really good restaurants and accommodation. Great place to be including as a base to explore the rest of this lovely island and be within minutes to the ferrry for onwards journey.

An absolutely awesome place for relaxing and winding down. The locals are so friendly and welcoming. We had a fabulous host at our accommodation and I’m so pleased we chose the AMOSuites. We had everything on our doorstep and yet it was a peaceful break. Amazing

The most beautiful place on the island if you prefer to stay...

The most beautiful place on the island if you prefer to stay in a calmer place with a few but super tasty and traditional restaurants giving you the real feeling of Greek. You can reach any part of the island easily by scooter, quad or with the local bus. A small, but very open-minded and friendly community that lives and welcomes you on the island.

Although we spent only three days on Folegandros (the vacation is not endless and the ferry timetables did not favor us either), we left with the decision to return here. The atmosphere of Chora is breathtaking in the evening, the approach to the landmark - the church of Agia Panagia is much easier than it seems at first glance, the walk around the beaches from Agkali to Agios Nikolaus Beach with swimming was also full of experiences, including culinary ones.

Great location close from the Karavostasis port, with a few cafes and taverns, a beautiful beach and the possibility to rent an atv or a scooter. The appartement had an amazing terrace with a private pool and a beautiful view of the port. Very functional, comfortable and quiet. Anastasia was very helpful and kind, provided us with recommandations and helped with the transfers to and from the ferry deck. We will come back !

We loved the proximity to the harbour and two beaches. Both beaches with great swimming. The manager of the hotel is particularly helpful. It’s spotlessly clean with great bed linen and towels. Very near bus stop to island bus. Try and get a room with a balcony better to see the coming and goings at the harbour.
