This unpretentious hotel perfectly met our needs for a relaxing and comfortable holiday. The location is excellent—right on the main boulevard and close to cafes and restaurants. The view of the Ionian Sea is stunning, especially at sunset. The beds are comfortable, and the rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels and sheets provided. The bathroom is spacious and well-appointed. A major plus is the on-site parking, as finding a spot for your car in this part of the city can be quite challenging. The staff is polite and attentive.

Igoumenitsa is an ideal starting point to visit lots of lovely areas of mainland Greece. The beaches North of the town towards Albania are lovely and the water clean. Outside Igoumenitsa going south there are lots of bays and hotels to visit and some lovely unspoilt countryside and villages. A visit to the Acheron Gorge is really worthwhile.

When I was in Igoumenitsa, I checked out Zanzibar — definitely a must-visit! The vibe was great, the food was amazing, and the sunset views were stunning. We had a pre-wedding gathering there, went for a swim, and the staff were super friendly, which made the whole experience even better.

I recommend a visit to the Archeological museum of Igoumenitsa. This museum is excellent with friendly and knowledgeable staff and an amazing collection including exhibits from a recent exploration near to Igoumenitsa. Igoumenitsa castle is worth a visit. It is close to the town centre and an excellent viewpoint for the port area as well as being well preserved with informative signage. Walk along the promenade from the ferry port towards the beach. Rent a bicycle and cycle to the beach. Order souvlaki and a beer from the street cafes along the promenade.

The city is a typical Greek city dependent on sea trade and transport. It also has nice beaches but the harbour as hub for the surrounding islands of Corfu and other islands like Paxos in the Ionian Sea, and therefore there is a lot of sea traffic on the water as well in the city as the main motorway leads from Igoumentisa to Thessaloniki.

I liked the fact that everything is within walking distance.

I liked the fact that everything is within walking distance. Caught a fairy to Corfu and spent the day there also. If we had a car it would have been so much better but was too scared to drive on the wrong side of the road being from Australia lol. The thing that was a disappointment was the fact that there are step’s everywhere and if you are disabled there is no chance to get in and out of shops etc… Foot paths were uneven and too many stray cats and dogs.

We used the Hotel as a stopover during our holiday, we were using the port as a point of transfer over to the island of Corfu. The hotel and location cannot be faulted. We found a small taverna within 50 meters of the hotel where we ate for the evening.

Very close to the ferry with excellent parking options. We upgraded to the secure parking area for a small fee but the parking area looked safe so it probably wasn’t needed. The hotel reception people were very welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and quiet, with a comfortable bed and a reasonable sized bathroom. All in all I would recommend staying.

I spent 3 nights in this hotel... nice and tidy rooms. very kind and helpful staff. highly recommended to everyone, and especially to those coming by ferry from Italy and needing a technical stopover... the hotel is in fact a 3-minute walk from the port...

Comfortable hotel room, close to the port and rental car offices. It had a lift to the upper floors which was good with heavy bags. Room had a fridge and a few free drinks and items of food:)

Friendly staff... 24hr reception... we were very late getting off the ferry, no problem for the hotel. Spotlessly clean. Excellent parking. Need a car to get here about a 10 minute drive.
