It’s a mini apartment that has everything. Fully equipped kitchen, washing machine. I had to work during my stay and I found a nice table to work from. We stayed for a week but I would happily stay here for a longer time. Oh and did I mention the owners? They were so nice and made sure we had everything we needed.

Greek hospitality at its finest. It felt like staying with family. Everything from a welcome drink, and fun conversation, to restaurant suggestions, a offers to help with luggage and a ride to the port. The location is almost directly across from the international port terminal. It has off street private parking. The rooms are what you expect. Everything sparkling clean, with balconies. A lovely garden space behind the bar/ breakfast area There a restaurants less than a 5 minute walk away. This will be our new go to place to stay in Igoumenitsa while we are waiting for for the ferry.

Igoumenitsa is an ideal starting point to visit lots of lovely areas of mainland Greece. The beaches North of the town towards Albania are lovely and the water clean. Outside Igoumenitsa going south there are lots of bays and hotels to visit and some lovely unspoilt countryside and villages. A visit to the Acheron Gorge is really worthwhile.

When I was in Igoumenitsa, I checked out Zanzibar — definitely a must-visit! The vibe was great, the food was amazing, and the sunset views were stunning. We had a pre-wedding gathering there, went for a swim, and the staff were super friendly, which made the whole experience even better.

I recommend a visit to the Archeological museum of...

I recommend a visit to the Archeological museum of Igoumenitsa. This museum is excellent with friendly and knowledgeable staff and an amazing collection including exhibits from a recent exploration near to Igoumenitsa. Igoumenitsa castle is worth a visit. It is close to the town centre and an excellent viewpoint for the port area as well as being well preserved with informative signage. Walk along the promenade from the ferry port towards the beach. Rent a bicycle and cycle to the beach. Order souvlaki and a beer from the street cafes along the promenade.

The city is a typical Greek city dependent on sea trade and...

The city is a typical Greek city dependent on sea trade and transport. It also has nice beaches but the harbour as hub for the surrounding islands of Corfu and other islands like Paxos in the Ionian Sea, and therefore there is a lot of sea traffic on the water as well in the city as the main motorway leads from Igoumentisa to Thessaloniki.

I liked the fact that everything is within walking distance.

I liked the fact that everything is within walking distance. Caught a fairy to Corfu and spent the day there also. If we had a car it would have been so much better but was too scared to drive on the wrong side of the road being from Australia lol. The thing that was a disappointment was the fact that there are step’s everywhere and if you are disabled there is no chance to get in and out of shops etc… Foot paths were uneven and too many stray cats and dogs.

We used the Hotel as a stopover during our holiday, we were using the port as a point of transfer over to the island of Corfu. The hotel and location cannot be faulted. We found a small taverna within 50 meters of the hotel where we ate for the evening.

We stayed overnight in the apartment and everything was excellent. The place was very clean, cozy, and comfortable. The host who welcomed us was very kind and pleasant. The bed was incredibly soft and comfortable, something you rarely find even in expensive hotels. Everything was also well prepared for children, which was very important for us. A great place to stay, highly recommended!

This was our second visit here. The hotel is only four minutes drive from the port and about 15 minutes walk to the town centre and tavernas. Owner very friendly. Very big rooms. Will stay again and I highly recommend this place.
