I really loved that Anna met us at the dock when the private boat transfer arrived and welcomed us. That set the tone For our anniversary stay. I also love the fact that our beach chairs were already reserved and waiting us. The staff was exceptionally accommodating for everything that we asked for. I loved our room with private porch with sea view. I honestly can say that this was a great experience .I wish we had stayed longer. Anna thank you so much for your hospitality, I really appreciate you accommodating us. The young man at the beach was also very polite and helpful. Everyone was just so pleasant and helpful. Yes, and the sunset at dinner time is fantastic!

The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. The apartments were pristine. Everything you could possibly need was there. Evi and Georgia were extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. The decor was beautiful. It was quiet. The breakfast in the nearby cafe was delicious. I highly recommend staying here!

Very friendly and polite staff, always available to assist us! The cleanest hotel i have ever been, great smelling of sheets and towels. Delicious breakfast with a lot of variety and homemade snacks. Please note I visited Hydra during the winter season (so several of the tourist things had odd hours or were closed, very understandable)and I can only imagine how much more magical this would be in the summer months. I was so rejuvenated - the food was delicious and everyone I met was just a joy and so proud to share their island. I understand how Leonard Cohen among other famous musicians (anyone know The Rolling Stones?) loved being here. It's a creative hub! The lack of cars force you to slow down. It's such a perfect spot for a "reset". Super walkable - beautiful hills.

It is alarmingly expensive to have coffee on the quay, and some hotels are beyond belief, over a thousand euros a night! It feels like Hydra could end up hollowed out like St Ives in Cornwall, unless someone takes responsibility for big money muscling into society. Other than that, we loved the sun and the lack of cars and the lovely people we met, all generous and welcoming.

Nice to visit for a few days and enjoy walking about and meeting cats. Walk a little bit down from the harbour for maybe one hour and there is a good pebble beach. Make sure you do the walk up to the Prophet Elias monastery and bring some Euros for their small gift shop

Hydra is beautiful. No cars no scooters.

Hydra is beautiful. No cars no scooters. If unable to carry your luggage over all the cobblestones a donkey will. If bored and not swimming weather, watch the activity at the port. Many ships anchor out or smaller ones come in. Beautiful shops and lovely places to eat.

There are plenty of Restaurants close to the Harbour and there is plenty of variety or restaurants. A couple of Bakeries, Ice Cream shops and Cafes are also available. There are a lot of clothing shops on the front and up the various alleys so there is plenty to look at. We took a Water Taxi down the East Coast and that was worthwhile. Another couple took a Water Taxi to a Beach on the other side of the Island and had a swim. That sounded like fun but there is very little sand here so get used to a stony beach. We came here in October so it was winding down for the Winter. Less Crowds but overall less activity. Our room had a Balcony right on to the Harbour Front. I would expect that it might be a little noisy in Summer / High Tourist season. Our Hotel offered rooms at the back that may have been quieter? Also this is a Historic Island. The Greek revolutions started here and the locals are very proud of that. There was also a huge fire in 1984 that killed 4 people and they lost a great deal of tree coverage. If you do go around the island there are pockets of Trees that were saved that will give you some idea of what the landscape used to look like. If you love the Olympics like I do, Elena Votsi a local Jeweler designed the front of the Olympic Medals since 2004 and her store is on the Harbour Front. She has a display that is worth seeing. My wife and I stayed 2 full days and had a lovely time. No cars or Motorbikes here so you will get your steps up. You will burn more Calories but there is some great food to tempt you to put more Calories in. Great Stay - Worth It.

It is so nice not having cars, only donkeys. Makes it more authentic and relaxing. The restaurants generally serve a high standard of food at differing prices. The sea is crystal clear for swimming at the beaches away from the town.

Only a short walk from Hydra port. The perfect location as it is very quiet, yet close to action. The property is well equipped, very spacious for a couple or even 3 people and the rooftop space is amazing! The owner was so helpful, friendly and hospitable, that really made a big difference to the experience, so I’m definitely booking again unique luxury suites when back in Hydra! Thank you!

Perfect location only a few mins walk from the main port on the island. (Only a couple of small steps, so easy to navigate with suitcases) Close to lots of great restaurants, cafes, boutiques etc. We really liked the decor and style of the place. It was perfect for our week on Hydra for a wedding. Thanks so much for having us!

This hotel is a little gem located very close to the harbor. Don't expect any luxury, but the rooms were big, clean, bed was comfy, and i had everything I needed. Big plus for the free amenities basket 👍 And the 🍒 on top is the owner. He is the nicest and kindest to all his guests!
