The hotel and rooms are absolutely beautiful, the staff were helpful and incredibly friendly. We had an amazing time. Everything from check in to check out was perfect and I could not fault Asterion at all! The pool area in particular and the ability to order drinks to sunbeds was just amazing, the food was always delicious from both restaurants and the service was impeccable throughout. The stay exceeded all our expectations! We definitely cannot wait to come back, you would be hard pressed to find a better all inclusive hotel. Thank you!

The hotel is small and peaceful but beautiful and in a great location to explore local restaurants and the beaches of Chania and the West, South West and North Coast. As a family of 5 ( 2 adults, kids 7, 12, 14) we found the rooms to be modern and comfortable. The rooms were cleaned every day. The grounds are immaculate and there were always sun loungers free near the pool and on the small beach ( the beach is literally 1 minute from the pool). Most of all the staff, without exception, are so warm and friendly and have created a special family atmosphere with a personal touch. Their recommendations for local beaches and restaurants we really helpful ( and accurate). The Wifi was also excellent. We honestly couldn't recommend Hotel Lito more - incredible value for money.

Everything was great. The view was amazing, we could watch the sunsets every day from the terrace. The breakfasts were delicious and very diverse, I think everyone will find something for themselves. We also tried the à la carte dinners several times, and everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was very nice and helpful. The swimming pool is clean, large enough, with a separate paddling pool for children. I highly recommend!

A wonderful apartment with a sea view – even though it’s not right on the seafront, you can see the sea and the sunrise from the balcony and even from the room. The apartment is spacious, with a large terrace, and well equipped with a washing machine, iron, dryer, fridge, coffee maker, kettle, and everything you need in the kitchen. There were also cleaning and hygiene products provided (laundry detergent, dish soap, cleaning supplies, garbage bags, toilet paper, etc.). The host was very welcoming and kindly accepted our late arrival after midnight. They were very helpful and even left us fresh fruit juice and cold water in the fridge. We truly enjoyed our vacation in this apartment. We also benefited from free parking.

We were very satisfied with Tasos Cottages Bed linen and towels were changed and cleaned every 3 days. Gerani is away from the crowded Platanias, but at the same time within a 20 minute evening walk. Buses run well in Crete and the bus stop is just around the corner. There are shops and restaurants nearby. The beach is 200 metres away. It is an undeveloped beach, even in early August there were never more than 10-15 people on the beach. We were looking for just such authentic accommodation, away from the crowds, so we were happy with everything. The host try to solve all your requests. Originally there was no grill, but she got one for us. It was a very touching gesture. I can highly recommend also the family restaurant, Tasos Family Restaurant, in Gerani centre, 400 metres from the accommodation. They cook very delicious food and always gave a very warm welcome. We had a wonderful 2 weeks here. Thank you for everything!

It is a bit out of the way and almost a hole, but there are no crowds, and I like such places near a nice sea and there is everything you need nearby - pub and shops at hand, great starting point, especially if you have a car. Spectacular sunrise over the island of Agii Theodori and misty sunset behind the mountains, better to take a walk towards Paralia Maleme but not the beach but the street.

Mix of resorts and private buildings, shopping easy and plentiful, good Lidl supermarket nearby, easy bus access to Chania, well-located near highway if you have a hire car and wish to drive further afield. Not overburdened with restaurants, bars and tourist traps, and not every site had legions of silly sunbeds

We drived to Elafonisi beach and took around one and half...

We drived to Elafonisi beach and took around one and half hour from the hotel. It's amazing scenery on the way there. Some parts of the road are quite narrow and winding. Must drive with caution. The beach is very beautiful and has also pink sand. The water is shalllow, clear with a turquoise color and smooth waves. We also take a day trip cruise to Balos beach and Gramvousa

Gerani is a quiet area 25 minutes outside of Chania and easy to reach by car or bus if you choose. Great base for sightseeing the northwest beaches. Close to restaurants and markets if you have a rental car or don’t mind walking about 10 minutes. Safe area to walk at night. Easy to teach Balos Beach, Elafonisi and Falassarna Beaches.

Such a lovely 'part of the world', plenty to see and experience. We chose to use Gerani as our base and visited other parts of the island staying one night elsewhere ie: (Iracleon). One week was clearly, not enough for Crete, will need to come back.

It was quiet and a nice respite from the busier areas. It offered good access to drive to different places. There were many facilities nearby so you could walk to restaurants, bars, etc. A lovely long beach.

The breakfast was excellent, we spent here 8 nights and every single morning the breakfast was a little bit different. We loved it! Beds were also perfect for us, not too soft as in many other hotels. The staff was welcoming and always ready to help. The Beach was next to the hotel. One of the best hotels we have ever been in!

Wonderful location, sea view from the room, delicious food, playground for kids - everything was fantastic! We also visited botanical garden which is not far from the hotel (17km) and it was lovely.
