What a lovely find! We stayed for a week, the room was very clean & comfortable, lovely sea view. Plenty of storage. Fridge & kettle in the room, so nice to be able to sit on the balcony with a coffee after a day at the beach, and also have chilled beers to hand! The location was excellent, just a 5 minute stroll to the square or the beach. Great wifi, decent air con (needed). Excellent value for money would definitely recommend!

We couldn’t fault anything, the room was spacious and comfortable and the food at the a la carte restaurant was exceptional. We enjoyed eating in an adult only environment and every member of staff we encountered was enchanting.

Enjoyed being able to sit on the balcony in the evenings. The Bathroom was lovely and clean and the shower was big and perfect. The hotel had a calm relaxed feel to it .

Everything. The breakfast in particular is excellent! The location, the rooms, the staff. We went at the very end of the season. We got upgraded to a bigger room with a sea view for free. It was really nice! We enjoyed everything. The staff noticed we needed bed protection for the kids and they installed two of them without us even asking for it! Just excellent. We will come back without hesitation!

Close enough to see,hear and smell the sea - great views from sea view rooms- Very clean, very attentive and helpful staff. Owner works as hard as his staff- run like a family business which made us feel like family. Breakfast was fresh and healthy. In the evening the Fish menu were amazing. View from Roof top restaurant was breathtaking! 50% ask on the cost for fish meals and you pay for drinks outside of breakfast even if you’re full board. I usually go full board at no extra cost so this was new to me. When I mentioned this we got complimentary drinks on the first night and only paid for fish once (out of 4 fish meals altogether) - another plus as Hotel owner is open to discussion and happy to accommodate. Be sure to check the Ts&Cs if you decide to go full board.

Amazing views and a really nice pool also there’s a restaurant owned by them right across the road that has everything you need. Has spacious rooms and bathrooms and is also 15 minutes away from one of the most beautiful and famous lakes in Europe its absolutely stunning would highly recommend also really good price

Gavalochori is a fabulous village, we have been there several times and recommend it as a place to either visit or stay. I would strongly recommend that you hire a car, since there is no public transport.

We loved Gavalachori.

We loved Gavalachori. It had 3 very good tavernas plus a mini market. and a very nice gift shop. Free parking. Places of interest were the museum, the ancient wells and the very old olive press. It is conveniently only 7 kms from the lovely beach of Kalives. There is a daily bus to Chania as well..

The Villa is up a hill (very narrow road so don’t hire a big car) with amazing views of the mountains and sunset from the two balconies. It’s a working village with a locals bar and 2 great tavernas. We did very little which was just what we needed. It’s incredibly well maintained and immaculate

Two good tavernas with excellent food and atmosphere.

Two good tavernas with excellent food and atmosphere. The local bakery was convenient as were the two small shops. The village square was bustling in the evenings. The beaches of Almyrida and Kalyves were 10 mins drive away. Excellent centre for seeing the area. A car is essential
