The property we stayed is done in traditional style with love and attention to detail. There is ample parking space, each house comes fully equipped, and a second-floor balcony provides an excellent space for reading, relaxing, or just star gazing. Very friendly, generous and attentive hostess, offering a welcome of raki and plenty of advice about the area. The place itself has some of the best beaches in the island, excellent sea front restaurants, and offers a glimpse into a still unspoiled , slow paced Crete far from the ravages of mass tourism. At the same time, places of archeological interest (e.g. Zakros), prime surfing spots and the exotic palm beaches of Vai and Itanos are all within reasonable reach.

We Love the Boggi and have stayed there previously, but not for three years. The owners are super friendly. The apartments are large, the fridges are the largest I have ever seen in Crete. There is a proper cooker with a grill and oven unlike most apartments where you only get a twin hotplate if you are lucky. The people are super friendly and the food is superb if you like simple traditional Greek food. Drinks are very reasonably priced and accompanied by tasty meze. The position on the beach is superb.

I loved the room with a balcony and the view of the sea, mountains, city. This hotel is not luxury but for a 2-star hotel I found it very good. The two receptionists were very very nice and talkative and full of good advice for both eating, tours, beaches and my travel further on to the south coast. Location is excellent, one minute from harbour front and all the restaurants and cafes and only five minutes from the big public parking lot.
