This is such a lovely place to stay, it is family owned and the service was excellent all the time. The food in the restaurant is also excellent and I hope to return in the future many times! The only thing I didn't like was having to leave! I wished I booked a full week here, it is so peaceful and relaxing when the tourists aren't around. I loved waking up in the morning, having coffee on my balcony that overlooked the grove and mountains.

Very close to Elafonisi beach (around 10m walk), very quiet location, amazing spot to watch the stars at night, complementary breakfast, close to a market and various bars, and don’t forget to have a meal at Glykeria, 5m away by car. The staff was super attentive, kind and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and can’t wait to visit again!

I really liked how peaceful and beautiful the place was. The apartment was very clean and modern, and the private pool was perfect for relaxing. The beach is amazing, one of the most beautiful we've ever visited. Water is turquoise and sand is truly pink at the water's edge. Loved long walks, shore swims and the sand was amazing. Next to the beach is a conservation area that is really lovely and I enjoyed the walk! Walk across the relatively shallow water to the island to the right of the main beach. Get there early especially on weekends else all the lounge chairs will be taken! Do NOT park at the first parking lot as you enter town, the rates are MUCH higher than the $5 lot that comes next!

If you don’t stay overnight in the village and come by car,...

If you don’t stay overnight in the village and come by car, there are plenty of parking spots (3–5 € per day). The beach is beautiful — best to visit early in the morning (8–11) or later in the afternoon (16–19) when it’s less crowded. A small disadvantage is that there are only two tavernas nearby, and the mini market sells water at a higher price than elsewhere in Crete.

It's a nice beach and especially good if you are traveling...

It's a nice beach and especially good if you are traveling with young children since the water is shallow and warm. For my personal taste the main beach is too crowded and touristy and would prefer quieter more rugged beaches, but it was a great destination traveling as a family with a toddler because it was safe and clean and we were staying at a hotel within walking distance from the beach.

Great beach with varied water levels and temperatures from 20 to 30o C in the summer I’d say. Walk and swim around to find your perfect spot. The sand is wet in most of the places. A lot of nature but heavily visited especially on Mondays and Tuesdays from what it seemed to is during our stay. Two beach bars, two restaurants above, several room rental places, two supermarkets and some shops. Prices are a bit high from Crete, especially in the supermarkets, but still good options. The connection to Kissamos and Chaina is not bad, please not there is a new motorway section in the mountains that bypasses Topolia and its gorge tunnel that is not in Google maps yet.

Elafonissi beach is truly spectacular.

Elafonissi beach is truly spectacular. Definitely worth a visit. The beach is very crowded. The only alternative beach within a radius of 20 km has natural shade from trees (convenient in the wind). In case of wind, it is also quite crowded.

Elafonissi beach is beautiful but can get very crowded. Paddle over to the island for more secluded areas. It is well worth the effort The taverna at Elafonissi village is excellent value for food and drinks with friendly staff who never make you feel hurried

Great little hotel that I highly recommend. . The kindness and helpfulness of Maria and Nikos make it exceptional. They provide very good advice for visiting the area. The food is good. It is homemade and changes daily. The rooms are spacious, sea facing, everything is quite new. Beds are large and comfortable. There are few accommodations near Elafonisi, this is the perfect place to stay if you want to be in this area.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It’s perfectly located—just a 5-minute walk from Elafonissi Beach—and offers a stunning sea view. The area is very quiet and peaceful, ideal for relaxing. The room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and everything was well arranged. I truly appreciated the calm atmosphere and the overall quality of the place. An excellent experience that I highly recommend.

The location is the closest way to go to Elafonisi beach- I loved it! Even though the room is super simple, which I dont have any problem with that, is a good place to stay 1, 2 days to visit the beaches in that area. Also there is a lovely mini market just cross the road where you find everything you need. And the staff Lisa is super kind and helpful.

It was within walking distance to Elafonisi Beach which is, in my opinion, so overrated it’s ridiculous. But to be honest that’s about it. Nothing about the property stood out to me. I found the staff other than Yanis to be mostly sullen & unhappy.
