The location was stunning, so close to the sea but yet with easy access along cobble path to centre of village. Very characterful taverna. Fantastic hosts Maria and Yiorgos who have had this taverna and rooms since 1994. Thank you so much for all your kindness.

The best hotel we stayed in during our trip. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was a good size looking out over the sea. The sea breeze in the night meant there was no need for the AC. The breakfast was made with local products and served like a cream tea. The local yoghurt, honey and coconut was delicious. We used the hotel sun beds for the day. There were changing rooms and showers to use. Highly recommend.

Beautiful clean room,with modern bathroom and balcony looking out to sea in one direction and mountains in the other. The owner is super friendly and the staff are helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend this particular hotel. First impressions is that the town is set up only for tourists but it's so much more than that with its little back roads of family homes and gardens, goats, chickens and the obligatory Cretan cat community. At night when the gorge hikers have left it's quiet and you can wander further away from the fast food seafront places to find local Cretan tavernas. With miles of e4 coastline to wander along in addition to the Samaria gorge we enjoyed one long relaxing day on the beach with pretty good snorkeling and had a perfect couple of hoking days on our through hike along southern Crete.

A great place to stay it's nice and quiet location. Agia Roumeli is a small village but there's are plenty of places to eat. The rooms were clean and you get to use the sunbeds for free. It also has it's own restaurant on the beach. Lunch was great Anna cooking is the best. I would recommend the chicken rainbow salad 🥗 Best salad I've had on Crete. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.👌

This property is a gem. The view from the room and terrace is exceptional. comfortable bed and big room. The hostess, Anna, was very friendly and helpful. We wanted to leave earlier than breakfast started to go to Samaria Gorge and she kindly put together a picnic for us. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Kind owners! This place is exactly as described online and in photos. It’s a great value for the price, especially for those with families that need a larger room. It has one building between itself and beach but some balconies may have a partial sea view. Short 3 min walk to beach. Had everything we needed. We would return again in the future. Thank you!
