The apartment was big and spacious. Furniture was old and really stylish, also decorations and even tableware! It was comfortable to stay there, everything was well prepared and clean. Water was hot (which is not obvious from what I saw traveling across Greece). Contact with the owner was really good and nice, the owner is responsive. Charming apartments in lovely village square. Very clean and comfortable, it had everything we needed. Host gave excellent suggestions and easy check-in. Anogia is a very interesting town, full of history and it was a really good experience for our family. We had a wonderful meal at Ta Skalomata as recommended by host.

Our family had a great time at the hotel, the room is large and comfortable, with very good heating and a fireplace. We used the spa with a heated pool, sauna and wonderful massage. Breakfast is quite varied. The small farm at the hotel with peacocks, donkeys and goats was very much liked by the child. The responsive and hospitable staff left the most pleasant impressions. We will be glad to visit this hotel again!

It is very well equipped (oven, large refrigerator, washing machine) and ideal for large families and groups. We had a wonderful stay at this lovely house and couldn’t be more grateful to Eleni for her warm hospitality. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcomed and taken care of. A typical village without real charm (but good food) and especially lacking the "folkloric and traditional" feel described in guidebooks. However, it's an excellent stopover to escape the touristy beach areas. A pleasant walk to the Cave of Zeus and a discovery of a snail farm on the road to Heraklion (snail farm and fun) – signs by the roadside.

There is quite a lack of culture in the restaurants and this is a disincentive to visit the place again. A pastry shop-cafeteria and it did not have bottled water either for consumption or for sale. However, the prices were relatively high. Regarding the taste, it was absent in some options. What was worth tasting, we ate at the hotel which was very delicious.

Anogia is definitely worth a visit!

Anogia is definitely worth a visit! There's plenty of culture, history, and charming cafés. The Nidda Plateau, the Sfendoni Cave, and the observatory are all within easy reach! But there's also lots to see in the village itself, both in the lower and upper parts.

If you are looking for a place to stay in Anoja, I think Hotel Marina is your best choice. The rooms are charming, comfortable, spatious and offer a beautiful view on the mountains. The hotel is conveniently located close to the main street and square, where you can find anything you need (cafe’s/kafeneia, restaurants/taverna’s and small supermarkets and bakery’s). But most of all: Marina is a very kind and caring host!!
