Dimitra is lovely, very welcoming. The apartment was exceptionally clean, and the facilities were excellent. Just a short walk to the bakery, beach, tavernas, and supermarket. Great location with a view of the beach from the balcony. Perfect for a short break or even longer. Nice to stay in Megalochori and experience a taste of a traditional Greek island.

Everything. Was clean and tidy. Rooms were spacious. Air con efficient. Fully functional kitchen. The shower was amazing, and there was plenty of room to sit outside and enjoy the scenery. I enjoyed how close it was to everything from shops for groceries and restaurants to a bike/scooter rental place and the bus stop

Megalochori is a small village, Noima Hotel where we stayed was opposite the beach. There is a promenade right on the beach for early morning walks or jogging. The port is 3 minutes walk away, so we didn't need a taxi or a car to move around. You can rent motorbikes, bicycles and you can go round the island. There is an efficient and prompt bus service which takes you to the two famous beaches of the island (Dragonera and Aponisos). Both worth a day's visit and the sea is unbelievably clear and inviting.

I really loved this side of Agistri, honestly, when we had to pack up and move to a new room in Skala,I was sad. I really enjoyed the quiet, tranquil setting of Megalochori. Do yourself a favor and book a trip with Kristos on the Jaimaca boat tour, it was a fabulous experience. He also plays the Bazookie exceptionally well. It was incredible to see the shipwreck he takes you to and lunch in Methana was perfect. Can’t say enough about it. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed every moment we had on this side of Megalochori.

We preferred this end of the strip as it is quieter but still has good beaches, bars and restaurants only a few minutes stroll away. It has a couple of good supermarkets too. There is quite a bit of building work going on so maybe check with your host first.

We went out of season with few people on the island except...

We went out of season with few people on the island except the core of locals, most tourist businesses closed. We chose it as it is small and we expected it to be quiet, and only one hour from Piraeus by ferry. Nearby Aegina is much larger and another option, but you would need your own transport (hire cars available). in season i could imagine it being super busy and seeming crowded.

The island was wonderful, we met a lot of people.

The island was wonderful, we met a lot of people. I host people.. Like Mr. George who is the director of the ship there at the mills, Mr. Lefteris Kyvos, Mr. Giannis and Nikos, Nikolas who works there at the hotel if it is his Flisvos.. Also Mrs. Maria is a very hospitable and pleasant person..

If you are looking for an island where you can rest, enjoy exquisite views and swim in crystal clear waters, go to Angistri for a few days and especially Noima resort in Megalohori. Opt for the seaview room as you open your eyes to the beautiful blue sea of the Saronic. Its peaceful and quiet and the place is ran by a family, they are friendly and accommodating. They are a new small hotel, only recently opened, and are still working to bring the place up to perfect order.

location is close to myli port. it was a few min scooter ride into Skala. host was lovely and attentive good aircon and wifi located out of the hustle so was a quiet spot with no noise at night we were in a more budget room so it was tiny but okay for two nights as we spent most of it at the beaches
