We liked the location the most. The apartment is by the road and on the other side is the sea. The nearest beach is 20m from the apartment. And the shop is 5 minutes walk. The owner of the house is always available. She lives in the same building. And we had her phone number available and told us to call in any matter. The apartment was very clean. There were fresh towels and we could exchange them for fresh ones at any time. There is access to WiFi. Mini garden with a shower and a terrace where you can eat breakfast and admire the view of the sea and the port. There is also a bike rental and a bus stop nearby from which you can go to other beaches. We rested and are very happy with the vacation. Greetings to Mrs. Elena. Everything. Was clean and tidy. Rooms were spacious. Air con efficient. Fully functional kitchen. The shower was amazing, and there was plenty of room to sit outside and enjoy the scenery. I enjoyed how close it was to everything from shops for groceries and restaurants to a bike/scooter rental place and the bus stop

Megalochori is a small village, Noima Hotel where we stayed was opposite the beach. There is a promenade right on the beach for early morning walks or jogging. The port is 3 minutes walk away, so we didn't need a taxi or a car to move around. You can rent motorbikes, bicycles and you can go round the island. There is an efficient and prompt bus service which takes you to the two famous beaches of the island (Dragonera and Aponisos). Both worth a day's visit and the sea is unbelievably clear and inviting.

I really loved this side of Agistri, honestly, when we had to pack up and move to a new room in Skala,I was sad. I really enjoyed the quiet, tranquil setting of Megalochori. Do yourself a favor and book a trip with Kristos on the Jaimaca boat tour, it was a fabulous experience. He also plays the Bazookie exceptionally well. It was incredible to see the shipwreck he takes you to and lunch in Methana was perfect. Can’t say enough about it. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed every moment we had on this side of Megalochori.

We preferred this end of the strip as it is quieter but still has good beaches, bars and restaurants only a few minutes stroll away. It has a couple of good supermarkets too. There is quite a bit of building work going on so maybe check with your host first.

We went out of season with few people on the island except...

We went out of season with few people on the island except the core of locals, most tourist businesses closed. We chose it as it is small and we expected it to be quiet, and only one hour from Piraeus by ferry. Nearby Aegina is much larger and another option, but you would need your own transport (hire cars available). in season i could imagine it being super busy and seeming crowded.

Everything was just perfect: the location, the property, but most of all Rania, our host, who welcomed and, together with her team, took care of us in the best possible way, going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. It felt like visiting and catching up with an old friend. On our last day, it was very hard to say goodbye, but we will make sure to come back. Dear Rania, thank you so much for everything! We are looking forward to seeing you again next year!

I really loved my stay. Excellent value for the price, for me it's the perfect location, opposite a small beach. The room was very clean and quiet, with a view of the mountain. Easy to hike up to other beaches or take the bus and get to the ferry. Walking distance to restaurants and a supermarket. Maria, the host could not be nicer and more helpful. I would happily come back :-)

Very friendly host, Elena was great and always wanted to help. (Thanks to Nic for translations). Great location next to the port (make sure you get off at the right one). Can go swimming within a few steps. Beautiful views. If you want to relax in the sun, this is the place. Book with Go Kayak Greece (along the beach in Skala) for a great trip. Thanks Elena!

The view was amazing, and really worth the money we paid (we had a sea view). Loads of seating areas and a couple of terraces in the main areas of the hotel for when you want to sit outside but don’t want to walk into town. Good location, 5 minute walk from Skala town, close to restaurants and some small beaches.
