The hotel is a few minutes walk from the beach and some restaurants and markets. In addition, the airport is about ten minutes away. In the hotel there is an excellent restaurant for dinner that also provides breakfast and lunch and aperitif in front of the pool. It's all new, modern and comfortable, including the gym. The nicest thing, which we highly recommend, is to take one of the rooms with a private pool. It's really a pool all to yourself that is part of the room beyond the terrace. Waking up and using the pool or doing it after breakfast or after the sea is wonderful. You can also call a taxi or rent a car through the reception and see other beauties of the island easily. The staff is kind and nice and the food is great as always in Greece.

The kindness of the people working six days a week to make sure that we had a wonderful time. Many thanks to Despina, Elisabeth and Thanasis. During the day the ladies helped us with our trips to Heraklion. In the evenings Thanasis served us delicious white wine and together with other guests we had some great conversations. Thanasis also advised us nice restaurants with excellent food. The lovely garden and the beautiful view on the sea were the main reasons for choosing this Georgia's garden. During the breakfast you can meet other guests. The hotel is close to the airport and Heraklion.

Located just outside of Heraklion, having a bus stop in front makes hotel's location great for travellers via public transport. But what is more important is the staff who are there to greet, offer and help the customers. I asked some specifics prior my arrival and was answered accordingly. After our checkout we stayed a bit more in the hotel area, treated as guests till the last moment. Not to mention the scrumptious variety of foods served during breakfast, lunch and dinner. Rooms were also big, having amenities and comfortable beds and pillows.

Difficult to judge because we came early in the season when...

Difficult to judge because we came early in the season when there was a cold wind blowing and not all the places were open. However, there didn't seem to be many places to eat [not a problem for us as there was one excellent place, though would be a problem peak season] . There were a number of apparently abandoned and ill-maintained buildings, which made the place appear less attractive.

The attention and care of staff was excellent, that helped to overlook minor imperfections. As a solo traveler I used to explore the island and enjoy the sights, people, fine smells of plants in the air, as I always do, mainly using a rented car.

Reliable and frequent bus commute to the city centre, once you realise the bus changes its number on the way back (it's no 1 to the city and becomes no 6 on the way back - beats me!), and accept that there is always a traffic jam as you approach Heraklion. Allow good half an hour each way even though it's only 7 km. It's cheaper to buy a ticket at a supermarket rather than from a driver. There are mini markets open every day till late which is brilliant for those who arrive at late hours or weekenders. Quite peaceful in November. Petousis taverna was a major bonus, great food, nice atmosphere and not too crowded on weekdays. It gets really busy on weekends. Some other nice eateries nearby too.

I would recommend Amoudara Herakliou for its beautiful sandy beaches, vibrant atmosphere, and excellent dining options. Everything was perfect and included with the hotel. Sandy beach front property, large clean pool and roomy accommodations. The bus comes every 15 minutes it stops in front of the hotel which was convenient. We used it instead of our car rental to visit the city center of Heraklion, not having to worry about finding parking.

Beautiful tavernas with delicious food, reasonably priced. Beach is great for families, quite a few cafes with pools, great crepe place though I didn’t try any. Really lovely town, a bit busy on the road but as this runs to Heraklion it is extremely convenient for buses to other parts of Crete, such as Knossos. Our trip was only four days so we will visit there next time!

Nice and kind staff, loved the breakfast, tiropitakas especially. :) The room was good as is all the furniture in it. Great location if you willing to find something near Heraklion, a lot of beach bars, cafes and groceries nearby. Also the bus stop from/to the airport is very close to the hotel. The hotel has its own swimming pool with the sun loungers - a great bonus.

Amazing location in Ammoudara near all beach restaurants and shops, also near Heraklion by bus or taxi. We loved the front beach view mainly at sunset. The food at the hotel restaurant is so delicious and fresh! The staff is lovely and kind with lots of tips to visit around. We totally recommend as we really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come back!

This was a second visit on our way back to Heraklion. It's a good stop over with easy parking. The hotel is new with very comfortable beds and very clean. The staff were helpful and accommodating. Breakfast taken overlooking the sea at a neighbouring hotel is really special. Just a short walk from beach and restaurants.

Total value for money, excellent hosts. Nothing was a issue, location was perfect, bus stop 2 mins to city. Plenty of bars & restaurants/ car hire is a must. The beach is a 3 min walk from the hotel, the hotel & restaurant staff were amazing, couldn't do enough. Will definitely stay again..
