Very modern and beautifully decorated rooms + pool/restaurant area. Delicious breakfast. Helpful staff. Easy to access by public transport. A bit further from oldtown/city center, but we weren't planning on exploring Heraklion, so it was a perfect choice for us.

The kindness of the people working six days a week to make sure that we had a wonderful time. Many thanks to Despina, Elisabeth and Thanasis. During the day the ladies helped us with our trips to Heraklion. In the evenings Thanasis served us delicious white wine and together with other guests we had some great conversations. Thanasis also advised us nice restaurants with excellent food. The lovely garden and the beautiful view on the sea were the main reasons for choosing this Georgia's garden. During the breakfast you can meet other guests. The hotel is close to the airport and Heraklion.

We took all-inclusive with our 3yr old. The food was ok, lots of varieties and different meals, one soup per day, salads and sweets. The fruits could be better and probably more available at the pool bar for eg. Staff is great, also the hygiene. The room is cleaned every day and they change towels and sheets regularly. Everything is super clean. The location of the hotel is great, next to the bus stop, and going to the Heraklion is super easy, there are buses every 10-15 minutes. Even visiting Knossos is super easy. The beach is close and there is a beach bar with sun umbrellas and beds, free of charge (only drinks to be paid).

Difficult to judge because we came early in the season when...

Difficult to judge because we came early in the season when there was a cold wind blowing and not all the places were open. However, there didn't seem to be many places to eat [not a problem for us as there was one excellent place, though would be a problem peak season] . There were a number of apparently abandoned and ill-maintained buildings, which made the place appear less attractive.

The attention and care of staff was excellent, that helped to overlook minor imperfections. As a solo traveler I used to explore the island and enjoy the sights, people, fine smells of plants in the air, as I always do, mainly using a rented car.

Reliable and frequent bus commute to the city centre, once you realise the bus changes its number on the way back (it's no 1 to the city and becomes no 6 on the way back - beats me!), and accept that there is always a traffic jam as you approach Heraklion. Allow good half an hour each way even though it's only 7 km. It's cheaper to buy a ticket at a supermarket rather than from a driver. There are mini markets open every day till late which is brilliant for those who arrive at late hours or weekenders. Quite peaceful in November. Petousis taverna was a major bonus, great food, nice atmosphere and not too crowded on weekdays. It gets really busy on weekends. Some other nice eateries nearby too.

I would recommend Amoudara Herakliou for its beautiful sandy beaches, vibrant atmosphere, and excellent dining options. It's a great destination for those looking to relax by the sea, enjoy water sports, and explore local cuisine. Plus, its proximity to Heraklion makes it an ideal base for visiting historical sites like the Palace of Knossos and experiencing the rich culture of Crete.

Everything was perfect and included with the hotel. Sandy beach front property, large clean pool and roomy accommodations. The bus comes every 15 minutes it stops in front of the hotel which was convenient. We used it instead of our car rental to visit the city center of Heraklion, not having to worry about finding parking.

Beautiful tavernas with delicious food, reasonably priced. Beach is great for families, quite a few cafes with pools, great crepe place though I didn’t try any. Really lovely town, a bit busy on the road but as this runs to Heraklion it is extremely convenient for buses to other parts of Crete, such as Knossos. Our trip was only four days so we will visit there next time!

For me this was a perfect beach holiday location. Christos is the friendliest and most helpful hotel owner and his staff couldn't have been more efficient or nicer in any way. My room was very spacious with balcony overlooking the sea. It is very easy to get into Heraklion to see the sights, five mins walk to a bus stop with a bus every 15 minutes or by reasonably priced taxi. Also there"s a car rental service just a few minutes walk away.

The location is great, walking distance from the beach and local shops, restaurants, bars, etc. and a short drive to the city centre. Staff are very helpful and during a local power cut, they immediately relocated me to another hotel. I didn't use the jacuzzi but I did use the fireplace which made a big difference. Sitting on the balcony and having my morning coffee was a great start for the day.

Georgio was amazing. Very kind and looked after us well. Not a busy hotel at least when we went (beginning of September) which was great for the pool, very cosy and peaceful, you got the pool to yourself most the time. Location was good too, just a 5min walk from the beach and main road of all the restaurants and shops.
