The hotel is a few minutes walk from the beach and some restaurants and markets. In addition, the airport is about ten minutes away. In the hotel there is an excellent restaurant for dinner that also provides breakfast and lunch and aperitif in front of the pool. It's all new, modern and comfortable, including the gym. The nicest thing, which we highly recommend, is to take one of the rooms with a private pool. It's really a pool all to yourself that is part of the room beyond the terrace. Waking up and using the pool or doing it after breakfast or after the sea is wonderful. You can also call a taxi or rent a car through the reception and see other beauties of the island easily. The staff is kind and nice and the food is great as always in Greece.

Very nice apartment with a small terrace. Enjoyed the heated Jacuzzi as the water temperature was easily regulated and it was very pleasurable even the outside temperatures were already around +15 (on November evenings). Location is great if you have a car (free parking available on site), but there is also a bus stop right in front of the suites complex - so it is very easy to go to town and back using public transport. Breakfast of decent quality is served in a very nice and bright room with a view of a large swimming pool, and we especially loved the device allowing us making a freshly squeezed orange juice on our own.

Vanisko hotel really exceeded my expectations. Everything was absolutely amazing. From the car parked outside, you could leave the key at the reception and they would have moved it without even disturbing you and the car was always close to the entrance. The people of the hotel were the things I loved the most. From the people at the reception desk, always smiling and happy to help, to all the people of the restaurant, always available and nice. I really really loved it. I never seen such a high quality people in a hotel. Food was amazing with a large choice possibility. The swimming pool was outstanding and the room was so so so perfect. I got a free upgrade of the room and my room was literally stunning. Also all the cleaning ladies in the rooms where so nice and helpful. I really really reallly recommend this hotel. Quality price also was amazing.

The staff are lovely. Family business, so always try to help their guests. Rooms always spotless. Shower gel and shampoo always provided. Pool area is lovely. There are plenty of sun loungers. Difficult to judge because we came early in the season when...

Difficult to judge because we came early in the season when there was a cold wind blowing and not all the places were open. However, there didn't seem to be many places to eat [not a problem for us as there was one excellent place, though would be a problem peak season] . There were a number of apparently abandoned and ill-maintained buildings, which made the place appear less attractive.

The attention and care of staff was excellent, that helped to overlook minor imperfections. As a solo traveler I used to explore the island and enjoy the sights, people, fine smells of plants in the air, as I always do, mainly using a rented car.

Reliable and frequent bus commute to the city centre, once you realise the bus changes its number on the way back (it's no 1 to the city and becomes no 6 on the way back - beats me!), and accept that there is always a traffic jam as you approach Heraklion. Allow good half an hour each way even though it's only 7 km. It's cheaper to buy a ticket at a supermarket rather than from a driver. There are mini markets open every day till late which is brilliant for those who arrive at late hours or weekenders. Quite peaceful in November. Petousis taverna was a major bonus, great food, nice atmosphere and not too crowded on weekdays. It gets really busy on weekends. Some other nice eateries nearby too.

Everything was perfect and included with the hotel. Sandy beach front property, large clean pool and roomy accommodations. The bus comes every 15 minutes it stops in front of the hotel which was convenient. We used it instead of our car rental to visit the city center of Heraklion, not having to worry about finding parking.

Beautiful tavernas with delicious food, reasonably priced. Beach is great for families, quite a few cafes with pools, great crepe place though I didn’t try any. Really lovely town, a bit busy on the road but as this runs to Heraklion it is extremely convenient for buses to other parts of Crete, such as Knossos. Our trip was only four days so we will visit there next time!

I had a fantastic stay at Vaya Suites in Crete. The room was spotless, beautifully equipped, and the jacuzzi was an extra treat that made the experience even more special. The staff were beyond friendly and welcoming — a real standout. Marina at reception made me feel so at home both times I visited, which truly added to the experience. I also enjoyed the breakfast at their sister hotel nearby — a great selection and a lovely way to start the day. Highly recommend and can't wait to return!

Location was good for me. Easy to get the bus into Heraklion opposite Creta beach hotel. Get the tickets from supermarket as its cheaper. Buses to everywhere else are easily taken from bus station Heraklion port. It's a family run establishment and the owner is very helpful and kind. I was given a present on leaving of some olive oil. Ammoudara beach is only a few minutes walk. Sunbeds are 15 euro but if you eat and drink at one of the beach restaurants it's free.

The breakfast was excellent. The staff was very nice, the location was also good, as it was very close to the beach and the bus stop was nearby and regular busses provided easy access to the Heraklion. There was a very nice big pool which we used when the sea was wavy. We received everything that we expected and even more. I would reccommend this hotel with pleasure.

Amazing location in Ammoudara near all beach restaurants and shops, also near Heraklion by bus or taxi. We loved the front beach view mainly at sunset. The food at the hotel restaurant is so delicious and fresh! The staff is lovely and kind with lots of tips to visit around. We totally recommend as we really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come back!
