Amoudara has one main street where all the shops and...
Amoudara has one main street where all the shops and restaurants are and that's pretty much it. You take any side streets and you'll end up in one of the neighboring settlements. The place feels neglected and doesn't look pretty. From half-finished, deserted buildings with lots of junk nearby, to overgrown shrubs and trees, which you have to avoid by ducking or walking into the street sometimes, which doesn't make it very safe. There's also a power plant nearby which really takes away from the overall impression. During the first couple of days of my stay, there was some unpleasant smell in the air, not sure if it was the power plant or some other reason, but it was really awful. The beach is great as long as it's not windy but, unfortunately, it usually is.Milana - 10Scored 10

Enorme Teatro Beach exceeded my expectations! Our fiance and I went there to exchange our vows on the beach. It was our first time in Crete... From the very first day of the online booking till the very last day at the hotel the staff were always helpful, making sure we had everything we need (taxis, dinner, photographer, answering our questions...). The swim-up option in our room was beyond what I imagined. Also he food is quite exceptional!! A really nice cosy hotel - Some small things have space for improvement, but maybe this makes exactly the atmosphere. The breakfast buffet is extraordinary ! But the biggest asset of this hotel, is the team - and I mean the whole team including the lady taking care about cleaning ! She has truly made this hotel/studio a wonderful place to stay, with her attention to many details throughout to make you feel at home. Anna greeted us with Raki and oranges. On another day she gave us homemade cookies, delicious! On another day she made us a marbled cake! Also delicious! Anna took care of my wife when she had to stay in room all day due to an injury. She made her lunch, gave her juice, water and made sure she was okay. Any issues were immediately resolved.

I really recommande to tast the restaurant for lunch or dinner with this amazing view front of the beach. Special thanks for Paris and the white sangria ;) The bus station is near you can take the bus to go to Heraklion city center. There is a lot of shops and tourist office to book excursions. It is just few meters away from the beach as well. Our room had a beautiful view of Amoudara Beach and Δία islands of Crete. The pool was newly made when we came, because we went early in Spring, and the swim was refreshing. The breakfast at the hotel was really good with fruits, salads, eggs, cereals and Cretan delicacies. We never missed our breakfast.

The breakfast was delicious and had lots of choice. We also ate lunch and dinner there as it was amazing- the best meal we had in Crete. We would definitely recommend Ikaros Suites.
