Great pool, used every day. Bookshelf and space where you could leave things you don’t need for other guests like sunscreen. Had an authentic Greek night with food and dancing.

Nice and quiet, busiest time was for breakfast and it wasn't exactly busy.
Pool was very quiet in the day if you wanted to just read a book and chill.
Towels changed everyday.

Great views, quiet area but still close enough to restaurants, friendly and welcoming hosts with good tips - Laura and her son, Evans, were both great.

Myself and a friend went to film a documentary about rescue animals, so the joy I had when I arrived to see very friendly owned dogs and sweet stray cats roaming around near by! They were so friendly!
The little house we were in was lovely! The outdoor and indoor area was very clean! We had our own gate so felt secluded from the road, in our own little complex! The house is basic, but we had everything we needed! It is in such a wonderful area and close to everything you need! Host was lovely too!

Lovely room, bug free hot and cold water. The Air Con was lovely and cold. It was quiet at night and only a 5 minute walk if that to the beach. The owner was polite and has been supportive throughout the stay. He even let me pay once I turned up as there was a problem with the bank transfer. I will be recommending this to everyone back at home

The warmth of the Zakynthians.
The warmth of the Zakynthians. The food and the easy-going relaxed atmosphere. Take some time to talk to the waiting staff, as well as the owners of the establishments. You’ll learn so much and begin to feel the place.
If I had to mention any negatives it would have to be the tourists who expect too much, too quickly and are surly and rude to the hosts.
Try Anatolikos Apartments Bar. It’s Al fresco and totally peaceful. Olga, Tina, George, Yota and Adonis will make you feel right at home. Try No Name Bar or Hakuna Matata Bar or Paradisio or the Palm Tree. All are so welcoming and friendly. The Apoll Taverna is excellent and Jani, Angela, Haris, Kiki and all are too much fun. Our go to place. Fishalida is also excellent. Always recognised from previous years and always warmly welcomed. Your meal with the sea and views of Kefalonia are a must do. Whispers Bar for a drink and dance and grand traditional music playing, live. Nikos is a skilled host for whom nothing is too much trouble.

This village has grown considerably over the last 30 years.
This village has grown considerably over the last 30 years. To a purist this might not be the best thing but the people are every bit as friendly as ever. Plenty of restaurants and taverns. It’s up to the individual to find the attractions but they are all advertised and within easy reach.

Superb area.
Superb area. Not so pricey as laganas, quiter also, but many possibilities to eat and drink. We came here for the fifth time. We switched the alykes to agios sostis during this summer and are very disapointed. Maybe kalamaki could be better then alykes/alikanas, but we didnt stay in kalamaki so could not say (maybe next year). There are also some hilly climbings, you can do with a quad.

Quiet location.Ideal for a chill out holiday.
Plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from
.Our favourites were Spikey's Bar for drinks.
Piccadilly,Koukounari,Hotel Asteria and Al Fresco for food.
Alykes is quite small, only one long street,so quite easy to get around.
Car and four by fours are very popular and there are plenty of hire companies.Driving can be adrenalin inducing,as the drivers tend to ignore centre lines and the cars do not appear to be equipped with indicators.

Well located if you have a car, all places up north are at less than 30 minutes away. Zakinthos town is just a 15 minute drive away and the south an extra 15 min after Zakinthos.
It has a very holiday village feel to it, full of brits, Dutch, polish and the average visitors age must be around 50-60 yo. So there are lots of options but at the same time it’s pretty laid back and quiet.
We ate in taverna Astoria which was fantastic and cheap (40 euros for 2 with beers, starter and main). Also had a gyro at the main grill shop, can’t remember the name but you can’t miss it when you’re in town (15 euros for both for giant pita gyros and drinks).
On the main road there is also a guy selling boat tours, we took a 4 hour boat ride to the shipwreck beach, caves and 3 stops for swims in turquoise waters, it was the highlight of our stay and one of our best holiday memories. The boat was pretty small compared to other huge vessels with 200 tourists on it that we saw passing by, our one had around 30 people, the crew was very nice and this only cost us 25 euros per head. Need to book at least one day prior to the trip.
This was our best ever stay in Greece! :) The owner is a local, highly educated, extra friendly and super caring person, also Maria too;) The building is freshly renovated, almost everything was new in the studio. Fully equipped kitchen, extra large balcony with a breathtaking view on the mountains also to the sea, not by mentioning the great parking possibilities at the hotel. About the area, Alykes is well equipped with shops and restaurants, more focusing on holidays spent for by recharging yourself.
We liked really everything!
Host Elpida was very kind, friendly and helped us with everything we needed.
Apartment was beatiful, clean, modern designed with fully equiped kitchen and plenty of ameneties better than in 5 star hotel. Also view was absolutely stunning.
Location was also perfect - directly on the beach.
All the guests can use water sport equipment for free (paddle poards, kayaks, snorcheling masks, balls, inflatables etc...) Also sunbeds were free to use. Just WOW.
The Deluxe room with direct access from the balcony to the shared pool was great. It was large enough for a family with one child. The sun beds from the balcony were very comfortable. The cleaning service in the room was good and the towels were changed each day. The beds were large and comfortable. The pool from the deluxe building was very clean. Wifi signal strength was very good. There are good restaurants near the hotel and is close to Alykanas beach.
We stayed at the bungalows and we really loved the location, the size of the rooms, the cleanliness. Furthermore the hospitality from Irini and her parents were great and made us feel at home. The sheets and towels were changed every two days and the villa was sparklingly clean.
It is also a great starting point for trips around the island - everything is within 30-40 minutes ride, also the local beach is perfect for kids!
I have been to Zakynthos many times and never was as impressive as this one. With an unrivaled private beach, the ultimate in secluded personal space, this villa is definitely anyone's first choice. Most importantly, I was touched by the politeness, warmth and care of the hosts. She actively helped us connect with hospitals and pharmacies when we were having trouble late at night. Definitely I will be back again!
I am a budget traveler and don’t have super high expectations or needs but do need clean towels and AC. Stayed 5 days and they only cleaned the room once. No air conditioning in one of the bedrooms ( we had two bedroom apt) and daily temperature was 99 or 100 each day. Had to ask for toilet paper and clean towels and could only exchange towels every other day. Positive was it was 5 minutes walk to beach.
Lovely Breakfast, all staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Clean relatively modern, door on shower, The restaurant is open to the public on an evening and the food is excellent. The views from your balcony are stunning, hence the name. I shall definitely stay there again. Ideal location, not far to walk to anywhere in Alykes from there.
Staff was helpful and always trying to accommodate our requests, the place was clean and the location is fantastic, just 1 block away from the beach. The apartment had everything you could need and there were a few complementary things like water, toasts, coffee, and some spreads. Plenty of parking in the back of the property. Would certainly be back.
Location was excellent. The balcony is literally on the beach with amazing sunrise and sea views. An excellent supermarket and bakery is within a few meters at the front of the property plus various restaurants and bars. Sunbeds at the property are the best on Alykes beach. Throughly recommended for a relaxing beach holiday.
It’s a nice small hotel but it looks fancier on the photos than in reality. Staff was friendly, location is good as it’s close to restaurants and bars but better to stay in the southern part of Zakynthos as it’s closer to the beach and the center.
Breakfast was included and it was good, and there’s a nice pool.
Excellent service, a very familiar hotel with all the comforts they need, it has a lot of space, clean, with incredible views, perfect for relaxing, it is a hotel that makes you feel at home, also the breakfast jam is made by themselves and it is really good . Thanks to Dimitri for all the service and kindness
The location was great, close both to Alykes and Alykanas, in a quiet area, close also to the beach. Whenever we needed anything, the host was very helpful and always fast in accommodating our needs. Good air conditioning, there were mosquito nets at the windows and also a mosquito repellent to plug in.
Great pool, we also could use additional pool accros the street if we wanted something more quiet.
Great stuff at the big pool, food and drinks so good!
Amazng location 3 min from Bocca beach bar.
Good for families. Very good in fact
- It was very clean
- The beds were comfortable
- Nice furniture
- No noise
- Close to nature
- Very close to the beach/sea
- Spacious
- There is a beach bar close by where you can find snacks and drinks
- Perfect location
Loved everything. Clean, modern, completely equipped, quiet, shower curtain (luxury in Zante), regular towel and bedding change. Parking, lovely view across salt flats. Close to amenities, air con. Hairdryer.
I didn't have breakfast, but I enjoyed many dinners on the patio and would recommend to anyone the food and the convivial environment.
Almost every guest both dinner and hotel were repeat and extended stays.
Our host was very forthcoming and friendly, great service. The place is in a secluded side street up the hill, very private, but even on foot, still very close to everything Alykes has to offer.
The bedroom is big, we were in 2 but there was also a third bed inside. We also have balcon with sea view! There was a small kitchen with fridge, toaster, kettle! The staff was very kind!
Amazing view, very clean, excellent location to travel around the island, close to one of the best beaches. The house is equipped with all one would need.
