The property was exactly as the pictures showed and the reviews described. It was cosy, clean and perfect for a couple. The location is excellent if you want to explore the island, we used it as a bit of a base to go and explore different areas of the island by quad bike each day. All the appliances were in good working order. The host even provided washing powder for the laundry :) The property host was wonderful, even managed to help me find a pharmacy when I needed it!

Alikanas is lovely with the mountain backdrop and the clear waters when there’s no wind. What I miss was a sidewalk. It’s difficult to go for a walk as there’s no sidewalk and on the beach there’s no continuous access.

The beaches were lovely and gently shelving which made it...

The beaches were lovely and gently shelving which made it really safe for everyone. We often walked round to the padded sunbeds near the port of Alykanas, which were 15 euros a days but so much more comfortable than the hotel ones. The town has a good selections of shops, bars and restaurants and you can also walk up to Alykes town along the canal

Good selection of restaurants at fair prices, Greccos for fresh fish was superb and plenty of places served authentic Greek dishes. We found that 'free wine' was best avoided although the food was good! Costa's on the beach was very good and Shoestring further down the coast is well worth a visit. The Mitsos Hotel welcomes visitors and has a large swimming pool and refreshments served to sunbeds for anyone who goes there - all you have to do is buy refreshments at reasonable prices. This seems to apply to all places with a pool and sunbeds. The hire car was a mixed blessing as the satnav had to be paired with my mobile phone and sat coverage is partial. Driving at night on unlit mountain roads with the few signposts in Greek is not relaxing.

It a lovely place with lots of great restaurants and bars. The beaches are lovely and 2 villages are in a walkable distance so choice is vast. It has a really safe feel and so friendly be that bar owners/restaurant or holiday makers.

This was my second visit to Alikanas and I will be back again! It is such a good location for lazy beach and pool days. Easy to hire a car or bike or go on a boat trip to explore the island. The people are really friendly and there is a relaxed vibe wherever you go. There are some fantastic restaurants that have authentic Greek dishes at a reasonable price. I highly recommend The Mill Bar for food and entertainment. Their Greek dancing night is not to be missed!!

Small little town, good for a relaxing stay.

Small little town, good for a relaxing stay. Not much partying or the like happening. Some good restaurants. Beer was always served ice cold which was great. Not many activities to tap into. The location needs some investment to really come to life.

Overall, we were very happy with our stay here and would recommend it to anyone considering the area. The people running it were incredibly pleasant and made us feel very at ease. The room is well equipt, and the bed is comfortable. Lovely pool with plenty of sunbeds available. The hotel bar is decently stocked and priced. The food is tasty, from the breakfasts to the pizzas. The shops and bars are a 5/10 minute walk away, and the beach is a 15/20 minute walk away.

Excellent location. All the staff couldn’t do enough for you, even down to the ladies who clean the rooms. We had transfers which I would recommend. The property is very clean. The staff recommended a restaurant that we hadn’t been to before which was excellent. We were upgraded to a bungalow with a pool for part of our holiday which was amazing. I just can’t say enough about the Zante Flower. I would give all the staff 11 out of 10 as they were amazing.

- hotel location: access from hotel direct to the beach, with a beautiful sea water, clear, shallow and sandy. Perfect for the kids. They could build castles and it was nice. - Close supermarkets, taverns and tourist shops - Changing the towels every day when cleaning the room. - Very friendly staff

Very fresh apartments. Lovely views and nice and peaceful. Andi the owner is a fantastic host and makes you feel most welcome, her boy helps out on the bar and general upkeep of the hotel. Breakfast is good and Andi cooks it all to order.
