The place is marvellous... in a very beautiful beach, in a lovely nature... we even saw monkeys jumping there as we arrived at the place. The staff was very nice and the food delicious. The owner is a very nice person who always tries to help you and make your stay perfect.

As a single traveler i had always someone to talk to in the beautiful roundhouserestaurant and the internet welan connection was very good there. The food was the best i had tasted in the whole Gambia, each meal freshly prepaired and delisciously tasty. The beach was very comfortably reached within minutes of a lovely stroll and was very romantic and relaxing. The owners put personal care into making me feel welcome and at home. Each morning we were greeted with a lovely breakfast of fresh fruit, fresh squeezed orange juice, hot Tapalapa bread, handcrafted local jams, cheese, tomatoes, cucumber and freshly boiled egg. Sitting under the bantaba we watched the antics of monkeys in the trees, while listening to the myriad calls from exotic local birds.

For me, a true 10/10. Calm, quiet and clean. I stayed here first for 1 week but returned after a brief trip to Bintang for another 4 nights beacuse I enjoyed it so much. Simple, clean huts in a beautiful garden. You can hear the sound of the ocean and palm trees all day and night.On top of that extremely friendly and authentic staff, good food and a beautiful beach. I did some excursions with Solomon, a great local guide, highly recommended. I also appreciated that it is a small lodge, when I was there, there weren't any big travel groups but a small number of friendly and also interesting other guests.

If you want to see real Gambian life and be close to nature this guesthouse is great. Modou the host is really friendly and is more than happy to arrange tours and be your guide. Accommodation is basic, but clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay again next time I am in Gambia.
