This is a beautiful place to relax for a few days. The staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly. The rooms are big and nicely furnished. The provided Moskito Net over the bed gives added comfort, also I did not see any. I will definitely stay there again next time I am in Gambia.

Welcoming reception, lovely clean room, just refurbished (a lot of Ikea!), great shower, friendly staff, lovely well-kept gardens. Good varied breakfast each day. Very handy for birdwatching locally and also walks along the sandy beach in either direction to Kololi or Cape Point.

I love ❤️ everything about the property. The location, size of the apartment, amenities within the apartment, room size, all the very friendly and accommodating staff who are always ready to please. The impeccable service received right from the checking in to checking out. The manager Mr Aziz was very patient and never lost composure throughout when dealing with clients.

Everyone was very helpful and friendly. A nice relaxed stay. The food was very good and I enjoyed traditional Gambian food cooked fresh. When I needed help finding the right cash point I was taken care of and was helped with a lift to the cash point. Thank you. When I left I was offered help if I needed to while staying in the country. It is a wonderful family atmosphere and a caring place to stay I would definitely stay again. This hotel is a real gem, the rooms are superb and are cleaned regularly. The beds are comfortable and you have aircon that really does work. The breakfasts were one of the best I had during countless stays in Gambia and will match the likes of some of the other larger hotels with a simular namesake. The airy dinning rooms are decorated impeccably and the food quality and presentation was stunning. The overriding feature at this hotel is the customer service given by all members of staff, you will not come away disappointed. You are looked after in all aspects and the management team work together to support staff and there customers. This hotel was an accidental find but I will gladly return again and again.

The lodges are comfortable with ensuite bathroom and shower. There isn't AC but was plenty comfortable enough with a ceiling fan. There is hot running water in the room when you need to have a warm shower although most of the time I took a cool shower. I moved here from one of the 'Hotel Castles by the Sea' that were overcrowded and overpriced for the standard of accommodation there. Kotu Island lodge presents a friendly, personal and quiet atmosphere. You can chat with Terry, the owner who is a very nice man. True Gent! Its only a few minutes walk to the beach and you get the great atmosphere of living in amongst the community. I wholly recommend a stay here. Thak you Terry. You are a great host.

We loved the property. It is really well taken care of, there is attention to detail. The gardens are wonderful, the staff very friendly. There is a charming restaurant next to the property. It is an oasis of calm. The bed was comfortable, it was good to have mosquito nets at the window so that they stay opened at night, the swimming pool although small was great with sun lounger with padding, the food is good, the massage next door very good, We had a wonderful enjoyable restful week at Bakotu.
