The guest house was fully booked, but they came up with a quick solution, and we got to stay at the sisters guest house 400m down the road. She was exceptionally kind and made sure we felt at home. She guided us personally to the shared taxis to get us going to our next destination. The room was very spacious with a high ceiling.

Top-notch apartment! High standard furnishings throughout the apartment and extremely spacious with balcony looking out to the ocean. Amazing hotel in a excellent location (close to Senegambia strip, but separated from the touristy madness). The owner himself designed everything, from concrete to curtains, and takes special care of the guests personally (he even upgraded our room because of some mixup with the airport taxi). The style and design of the room and the whole hotel transported us back in time, however the facilities (kitchen, bathroom) were very modern and up-to-date. All the staff were very kind and helpful. 100% recommended!

Sunset Beach is one of the best hotels in Gambia I have ever seen. Thank´s a lot of Mrs. Mane, the hotel manager and the friendly stuff. I will recommend this hotel . It´s a real nice and quiet hotel, a fantastic pool near the beach, a high quality restaurant, it has a nice terasse with view to the river and sea and we enjoyed our breakfast and good dinner there.
