We loved the location, our free upgraded room to a newly redecorated room with king size bed and the hospitality we received from arrival to departure by the owners. The breakfast was loveky and evening meal superb. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. The only sticking point was the lack of on site parking, but there is a long stay car park relatively near.

The staff were welcoming on arrival. They provided assistance with booking a taxi for myself and my daughter. They were engaging in conversation and interested in hearing where we were going etc. Our waiter on the first night was really helpful when I mentioned my daughter was a fussy eater. He was able to arrange a really plain burger which she loved. On the subject of food......it was outstanding and very reasonably priced for the excellent quality and presentation that arrived to the table. It was really nice to see it was dog friendly too. Two guests has their lovely dogs along and the lay happily under the tables while their owners ate a meal. The bedroom was beautifully presented. Immaculately clean. The radio playing gently in the background on arrival was a really nice touch too. Just a final word on breakfast.....we opted for room only but when we arrived we saw the breakfast menu and swiftly opted to book breakfast., a decision i will never regret. The beautiful bread and perfectly soft poached eggs were magnificent. Well done to all at the black swan. A top class place to stay.

I got a lovely complimentary loaf of bread, milk, butter and jam left for me plus all the essentials were in the cupboard like tea and coffee making breakfast easy. I loved the easy access using the key safe. All the windows had blinds so I could relax all cosy watching TV as well as cook myself some tea whilst travelling with work.

The guest accommodation is secure and private, is fully equipped, and even has its own gym & sauna. The cook house is a wonderfully spacious, stylish and comfortable place to stay. There were lovely views across the fields, a marvellous sunrise for the Summer Solstice, and the sunsets each evening were awesome. We loved exploring the local area, There were good walks around fishing lakes and through woodland (even for seniors) and several National Trust places to visit in the locality. We enjoyed the welcome pack. We wish we could have extended our stay. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. Thank you. We had a lovely break in this fantastic holiday cottage. We can definitely recommend.

Lovely little property in a peaceful village. Anna,Jonathan and their son Jeremy were warm and welcoming and the homemade bred and jams along with other breakfast provisions were delicious and a lovely thought. The bed was king-size and super comfortable, and very clean.

Toby the host war really friendly and helpful and made sure we had a nice stay. The dogs are friendly as well! We followed all of Toby's recommendations for things to do in the area and were not disappointed (breakfast at Honeystreet Mill Cafy, visit to Avebury and Old Sarum). Overall we had a great stay:)
