The Manor exceeded our expectations and is an ideal choice for visitors to Oxford arriving by car. Staying outside of Oxford offers a more peaceful and convenient experience. One of the highlights of our stay was the charming library located at the entrance to the restaurant. Filled with antique books, including a collection of Britannica encyclopedias from the 19th century, it was a delightful surprise to discover such a treasure trove. I spent hours immersed in these historical texts, finding them fascinating and informative.

Upon arrival we were immediately swept away by the pittoresque aesthetic of the building. The staff, in all different area of the hotel were extremely polite, friendly and professional. I can imagine it is a very nice place to work! The hotel has a history with bad boy DuVall but what most visitors do not know is the legend of 'The Midnight Stapler"... Strongly recommend to ask about this myth and let it leave you in awe.

Exceptional Stay at 'Dashwood by Aziz' Our experience at Dashwood by Aziz was truly delightful. The accommodation was comfortable and well-maintained, offering a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. Thanks to Aziz, the owner, for creating such a welcoming space and to Philip, the manager, for his attentive and professional service throughout our stay. The breakfast was particularly impressive—thoughtfully prepared to suit Indian taste buds—with each dish reflecting attention to detail and quality. The highlight was the expertly brewed Masala Chai, which added a perfect finishing touch to the morning. Highly recommend this property to anyone seeking both comfort and warm, personalized hospitality not far at all from Oxford city centre.

Overall the hotel is modern and clean.

Overall the hotel is modern and clean. We stayed in a superior room which was spacious and clean, there were a few minor things such as could do with a little more furniture as the only place to site was the one chair under the TV or the bed, the room has plenty of space for a small table and chairs. The restaurant in the evening was nice although very slow service and inexperienced staff, also some of the locals seemed to treat what looks like an upmarket restaurant as the local boozer which I guess is what it is to them. There is a bar also, which again almost felt like an upmarket phoenix night club with some strange starey locals… Breakfast, an hour wait for a coke over cooked poached egg and people cancelling their breakfast due to the wait and leaving. Nice place but not worth the £165 price for a night stay unfortunately. Awaiting a refund for the breakfast.

Excellent hotel, with very good facilities choice of...

Excellent hotel, with very good facilities choice of restaurant or bar snacks available. Well stocked mini bar at reasonable prices. Large outdoor seating area. Bathroom excellent with large overhead shower heads, no bath if you prefer a bath over a shower.

The hotel was in a good place for visiting relatives. didn't think much of the breakfast No continental options, only allowed one item and a beverage from the menu, what came was nice enough but not really hot enough and a v. small portion. same with toiletries in bathroom. Not very easy to get round Heyford at the moment, the road from the village to what was the base closed off and had to take a big detour to get to the hotel. Very handy to have a Sainsburys opposite the hotel. Ate at the Barley mow in Heyford was very nice. nice staff would recommend and would go there again.

This was a last minute booking to be close to Oxford.

This was a last minute booking to be close to Oxford. I was very impressed with the room facilities. Coffee machine, excellent tea supply and toiletries in the bathroom. Huge TV although I didn’t use it. Mini bar with soft drinks. The bed was super comfortable and big. The bathroom was fantastic. Huge bath and a great shower.
