The room was clean and with good size, the bed was really confortable. Excellent breakfast as well. The staff is lovely and the food from the pub is amazing, best fish and chips I've ever had in UK!

The breakfast was delicious. The rooms were spacious for the 5 of us. The ambiance was perfect for a cosy, festive feel. Our room had family games, which our children loved playing. The staff were all really helpful and accommodating.

The location was amazing… a beautiful hideaway in the countryside of Lake District between sheep. The cottage was great, very cozy and perfect for a family with dog. Our dog Luna fell in love with the house dog - and think he was in love too! A really sweet creature! Great talking to Stephen our super friendly host. When we asked if we could stay a night longer there was no problem at all. The kitchen was fully equipped, beds perfect and shower also great. There were even special dog towels! The WiFi worked perfect (very important for our son haha) We will definitely come back!!

I have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions and it never fails to impress. The rooms are very comfy, the staff are very welcoming and the food is excellent. I had the seafood pasta for dinner one evening and it surpassed meals I have had in the best restaurants in Sydney and elsewhere in the UK. Light, fresh and with a generous portion of seafood - delicious. It is lovely to sit in the garden (weather permitting) and enjoy the glorious views of the beautiful scenery all around. I will definitely visit again, and have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

We loved everything about our stay. The cottage is very cozy, warm and comfortable. The view from the cottage and its surrounding is amazing and there are several great walks just on the doorstep. The host and her family are wonderful people and made us feel more than welcome. Totally recommend!

Stunning location. Peaceful, away from highways. so minumum noise. Out of season so roads in general quiet. Cottge had been furnished and equiped to a very high stanard. Even the bunk bed was really comfortable for a 63 year old, so not just aimed at young families. The perfect get away.

Warm hospitality. The owner is a gentleman with a wealth of life experience. It was a joy to have spent some time with him, he showed us around and the cattle, shared insights on their cattle business. The property had a lot of character to it. And its got some interesting history to it as well. Overall, was a memorable stay!!
