What a gem of a place! From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for something special. The rooms are absolutely beautiful - so tastefully decorated, with an eye for detail that speaks of real care and creativity. We were there to break a long journey north. Great stopping off point as it has a petrol station and shops. Very picturesque village. It has a supermarket too. But a lovely peaceful vibe about it. Would be happy to stay again.

Ullapool is a good base for exploring the north-west...

Ullapool is a good base for exploring the north-west highlands with Wester Ross to the south and Assynt to the north. Ullapool also has a regular ferry to the Isles of Harris/Lewis. There are public toilets, a supermarket and a couple of excellent chip-shops.

Beautiful location with plenty of places nearby to visit. Good choice/variety of places to eat in the town too. The Shore Restaurant is excellent. The food is well cooked and well presented and the surroundings are comfortable and relaxing.

The town had done a lot to make the waterfront a nice place to walk and take in the views. The paving, seating and lighting were well done. We made sure that we booked for dinner because even in October there were many people around.

The host was incredibly helpful and friendly. He shared with us some history on Ullapool, places to dine and things to see. The room was spacious, clean, had a great shower and was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, freshly cooked and the staff were fantastic. I would definately come back.

Our place was just down around the corner from great...

Our place was just down around the corner from great restaurants and shops. The ferry is docked there. Fishing boats and guided tour boats. We were lucky enough to have car so we drove out to the lighthouse which was picture perfect. On our way home to our home away from home (CEOL MARA) we stopped by chance at Rhueart Gallery . It was truly wonderful to meet James Hawkins , artist supreme .

The hotel is located right at the waterfront of Ullapool. The view out our room was excellent. The staff was friendly. There is a pub in the building, which is nice. There's no hot food available at the hotel but the continental breakfast was really good. The room was well equipped, we especially enjoyed the complementary Nespresso and Hot Chocolate in the room. Free parking is available right in front of the hotel.

A lovely quiet stay at Ullapool surrounded by rivers and mountains. The room was cosy and had all the amenities you can ask for (we really appreciated the shower caps!). The staff were very friendly and offered fantastic advice especially on where to have dinner and breakfast. Many of the local attractions are walking distance from the hotel.
