The location is amazing as it’s easy to reach by train, and as soon as you reach the location you’re immersed into nature and can’t hear any city noises. Spa is Basic but well maintained and they offer a lot of extra services, can get a bit busy and people are not always respectful to behave spa-like, but time it right during the day and you can have an amazing relaxing experience.

We stayed at Kingscliff hotel for a holiday with 7-month old twins. The family room was cosy, clean and spacious: we had a double bed, two single beds and two cots and we managed to place our rocking chairs and a playmat in between. We appreciated that we were given a room on the ground floor and there was no need for us to carry our babies up and down the stairs. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Each day we needed to warm baby milk and sterilise bottles in a microwave, and all our requests were accommodated promptly. The breakfast and evening meal in the restaurant was always delicious, with wide choice. In the restaurant, we were also provided with convenient high chairs for the babies.

Friendly member of staff at (only one) the hotel, she was serving at the bar, making breakfast, greeting guests and allocating keys etc.. room was adorable and very clean with plenty of fresh towels and toiletries

Booked for one night before we took the Harwich ferry.

Booked for one night before we took the Harwich ferry. Lovely room and only 15 mins from ferry terminal. Friendly reception and food was nice too. Perfect stay! I'll use again if I sail from Harwich.

A quiet backwater perfectly positioned for touring Essex...

A quiet backwater perfectly positioned for touring Essex coast and south Suffolk. Fabulous sandy beaches. Constable country nearby and some grand houses to visit. Also, nature reserves with bird marshes to explore.

We loved the property and fact not far from Life house hotel...

We loved the property and fact not far from Life house hotel & spa where we had a lovely cream tea and walked around the beautiful gardens, Thorpe itself had a small Tesco but not much else, but nice little place to visit

A pretty little village with pubs and restaurants.

A pretty little village with pubs and restaurants. Quaint old high street but not very well lit at night. We went out for a walk but it was a bit dark in places. Close to coastal resorts and local amenities. We ate at the Rose and Crown (where we stayed) and would recommend it.

We stayed 2 nights at The Bell Inn, Thorpe Le Soken. It was in the perfect location for the Wedding we were attending. It has parking opposite. The staff are friendly and made us feel very welcome. Although we didn’t eat in the restaurant, there was a good menu and was busy. There are tables and seating outside overlooking the church at the back. The weather was really warm so we had breakfast outside which was excellent. The bedrooms are very clean with comfortable beds & linen. We had a great weekend.

the room was large, clean and comfortable with tea making facilities. a big tv (much bigger than we usually get in rented rooms). Shower was powerful. the staff were very friendly. we had lunch and breakfast here and cannot fault the food or service. The room had a large fan in which under normal circumstances would’ve been fine but we stayed on a night when the outside night temp was in the mid twenties so we baked…not the hotels fault at all.

Location good. Bedroom & bathroom very well decorated & very clean. Bed very comfortable. We had dinner & breakfast, both excellent. The staff were very friendly & extremely helpful. We would recommend this hotel to friends & family. This is the second time that we have stayed at this hotel & would do so again.
