Lovely property. Milk in the fridge, pancakes and jam were lovely and unexpected as no breakfast showing when booking. All basics available for self catering.. Host very helpful and was very knowledgeable of the area. We were also able to use the outdoor furniture in the evening.

Ropewalk Cottage truly is a little gem - hidden away off the busier streets of Portaferry, it was very quiet and peaceful. Brendan and Anne have put a lot of thought and love into making this one room cottage homely and equipped with everything in it that you could possibly want. If you wish to cook a full meal you can - as it was we only made breakfasts there and visited the local Portaferry Hotel for dinners. There is so much to see in this area that it's a great place to use as a base whilst you travel around, but you could also easily spend a day relaxing in the cottage. We will definitely stay here if we are ever in the area again.

Strangford is a lovely little village with very friendly...

Strangford is a lovely little village with very friendly locals and just enough facilities. Nice little home bakery, good pub and 3 x decent restaurants. You can get the ferry over to Portaferry if desired but there are lots of things to do close to the town. Castle Ward is walking distance, nice little beach close by, Saul and Downpatrick are all within close driving distance.

Lovely little holiday rental in a great location just a short drive from Downpatrick with easy and cheap access across the lough by the ferry from strangford. Property in great condition with a recently renovated kitchen and well laid out interior despite small footprint of the building itself. Host was great, even replying to queries from us despite travelling for work at the time we stayed and had left us fresh daffodils, a lovely welcoming touch!

The house was amazing, it is massive. 10 of us stayed, a mix of adults and teenagers, we all had our own space. Everyone had a fantastic time. The bedrooms and bathrooms are huge. So much storage. Huge fridge/freezer. Beautiful fire burner though the house is a naturally warm house so didn't light the fire. Location within Strangford superb, lovely pub around the corner.

This apartment was bright and spacious and ideally located to explore Strangford and the surrounding areas. Lovely restaurants nearby. Short walk to the ferry. Enjoyed our trips to local beaches, Downpatrick and Castleward estate.
