Very lovely and cozy, nice staff, good breakfast and well insulated rooms (especially as they are above a bar). The shower was powerful and hot in the best way! Loved the window seat and the cute skew window that gave the room that old-timey feel.

During my stay at Number Four at Stow Hotel, I was particularly impressed by the exceptional service provided by the staff, especially Jonathan. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist with any requests, making our experience truly memorable. The room was impressively spacious, offering ample space to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. It was immaculately clean, reflecting the hotel’s high standards of hygiene and comfort. Breakfast each morning was a highlight, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. The quality of the food was outstanding, providing a perfect start to our days. The hotel’s location is another significant advantage. Situated in the very center of the Cotswolds, it served as an ideal base for visiting the surrounding picturesque villages. Whether you want to explore Bourton-on-the-Water, Chipping Campden, or any of the other charming Cotswold destinations, everything is within easy reach. My sister and I stayed at The Sheep for a long weekend and couldn't have been happier with our choice! The staff were exceptional, and nothing was too much trouble. They even helped us with our heavy suitcases with a smile :) We had both breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were very happy with both the choice and quality of the food. The bar area was comfortable and again, the service excellent. We wanted to stay somewhere that we wouldn't need to drive if we didn't want to, and The Sheep was perfectly situated for the restaurants, coffee shops, pubs and shops in town. Just step outside the front door! We have recommended the Sheep to our family and friends.

We had a birthday celebration dinner at the Sheep in Sheep Street which was great, staff could not do enough for us. We also recommend the breakfast at the Hive and the service is great and food was also good. The won has plenty of other places but these two stood out for us.

Our stay in Stow-on-the-Wold was charming and peaceful – cobbled streets, cosy tea rooms, and friendly locals at every turn. We wandered through antique shops, enjoyed hearty pub meals, and soaked in the Cotswolds’ timeless beauty. The perfect blend of relaxation and little adventures. Beautiful, characterful village. If you’re looking for somewhere picturesque to relax with lots of quality food and drink I couldn’t recommend Stow on the Wold any stronger. You get a vibrant Cotswold town - what more do you want? Traffic in summer can be painfully slow. Do not rely on taxis as they are non-existent and so hard to get. For a night out I recommend a nominated driver in your party if you wish to go out of town.

The hotel was very nice, we stayed in the suite and it was very spacious and clean. The facilities are good, with a coffee machine and kettle with a variety of tea and coffee sachets. We had a welcome pack with biscuits, chocolates and wine which was a wonderful gesture. The staff were very accommodating and the breakfast was plentiful with a menu to choose from. The meals are little expensive but are good quality. We would definately stay here again.
