The hotel was in a good location. I could walk from the train station, and the castle was also within walking distance. The room was clean. It was a nice touch to find a small bottle of sherry in the room.

The hotel is lovely, located in a wonderful spot above a small, quiet town. The staff was very kind and helpful, the rooms were special and enchanting, and the dinner was delicious! Keep in mind there's no elevator, so you should travel light (although the staff members helped us carry our luggage). I recommend taking a walk up the hill in the afternoon, it's just a great light walk, and if you're heading toward north-east - I suggest you take the countryside road, it's charming!

After an overnight coach, we're very tired and drunk all water. When we arrived, the staff refilled our bottles with both hot and cold water. It's a very warm welcome. Many thanks! After we left the city, we noticed that we had left our hot water bottle in our room, the staff kept it for us so we could get it back for our journey. So loving they're! For the location, it's easy to reach the hotel as it's very close to the train station. The room was clean and quiet, so we had a very good recovery from our long journey. The breakfast was great and there're many options. We enjoyed our stay there and we feel lucky to have stay there at our first night, so that we recovered very well. Would like to return again in the future :)

Stirling is a beautiful town ad a great alternative to the bustle of Edinburgh. We spent time on the grounds of Stirling Castle and took hikes though some beautiful parks with stunning views, and also walked up to the William Wallace Statue.

The castle is a must-see and we appreciated the free guided tour where we learnt so much about the castle and Scottish history. The views are amazing. There are plaques on a lot of buildings to explain what they were back in the day. We met up with friends who live in Stirling and took us on a tour round the old town, pointing out all sorts of things. We saw some groups doing walking tours and would otherwise have booked one. We didn't get to the jail which looked good. We're saving that for our next visit.

Stirling itself has strong historical ties with Scottish history, battle of Stirling Bridge, the castle and Bannockburn, I didn't visit Bannockburn visitor centre on this trip but it is worth a visit. The Wallace Tower is near by. Stirling is also a good starting point for trips, I visited Aberdeen, Perth, Linlithgow and Crieff during my stay. the town centre itself was quiet during my stay maybe because it was November but it does mean you are not jostling with the crowds as you would in most cities.

Stirling is a great city for people interested in history and craft - the castle is unique and full of treasures, such as re-created tapestries, carving and decoration. The bus station is a short walk from the castle and shopping streets, and there are several park and rides.

Very good for solo travelling. Single room, very comfortable and nice bathroom. I’ve been staying in worse hotels in London but three times more expensive so for me it was a very nice room. Communal kitchen on every floor, with kettle, microwave and oven available but I had my own cutlery. Lots of parking spaces also included in the price and the university situated in a good area, not so far from the city centre. Very quiet so far more better then some hotels

The room was lovely and the bed was very soft. The location of the hotel means that you are in the centre of Stirling but somehow feels like a quiet escape. A very short walk up to the castle and close to amazing restaurants you really cannot beat the location. The spa is well stocked (steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, and pool).
