The hotel was just reopening after a short break over Christmas and I believe we were the only guests that night. We received a warm welcome from Janet (top marks to her!) who also prepared our wonderful cooked-to-order breakfast the following morning. Our two family rooms were in the annex which was warm and cosy with spotless carpets. The rooms were also clean as a whistle and the beds were super comfy. We enjoyed our stay immenesly.

fantastic location, peaceful, great facilities, very tranquil, good use of sustainable products. The breakfast was amazing with excellent quality produce. The manager was very cheerful and welcoming. Great secure parking for motorcycles. Room which perfect, excellent shower and comfy bed.

Brilliant spacious room with a proper fridge, pleasing range of complementaries, proper milk and tea and coffee making facilities. Very nice traditional inn - wish we d had time to try an evening meal. Allo staff were friendly and the breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice. Loved the coconut yoghurt.. Parking was good and there's a rapid charger

I was really tired when I arrived after a long drive, The receptionist on the desk was truly lovely and helped me with my bags to my room. Room was on the second floor and was big and comfortable Lovely view of the lake. I used the pool which was lovely and quiet. The food at breakfast was excellent. Lovely business stay.

Nicely appointed, comfortable bed, clean throughout, beautiful surroundings and good directions provided. Jackie kindly left flowers, biscuits and milk in the fridge for our arrival - thoughtful host.

I had a great stay here with my friend. The bed is super, the room fully equipped. This b&b is in e wonderfully quiet little street close to the station. We had a very nice time in the village, it was all pleasantly surprising really. And last but not least: Chris is very sympathetic host who made us feel very welcome.

We liked that there were no steps into accommodation and there was a shower rather than a bath and tea making facilities in the room. There were seats and table outside and chairs inside. Although next to the pub there was no noise nuisance or interference from pub visitors. A good choice of breakfast was given in the pub and there was the option to eat other meals and teas in the pub. Excellent location for the South Downs.

Wonderful place, staff exceptionally helpful, friendly and attentive. Lots of character and history to the house and area. Beautiful grounds and surrounding area. Good breakfast, decent size room and comfy bed. Great views of the grounds from our room (17) with quirky steps up to bathroom which had a great shower. Would stay again, thanks for a lovely stay.

An excellent appartment in a cosy and beautiful surrounding and a high standard. We were there for two weeks and we wished we can stay any longer. The hosts were very welcomimg. From this spot you can travel to the nicest sigtseeings.
