Everything! Location was secluded and idyllic. The hosts were welcoming and friendly, and so much thought had gone into making our stay comfortable. Very generous welcome tea, coffee and biscuits. Rooms were great, charming, almost stately home chintz! Bathrooms were clean and really well equipped with towels and quality toiletries. The gardens were beautifully maintained and it was such a joy to visit. The breakfast was outstanding - we would go out of our way to stay here again. Thank you!

Delightful is the most appropriate word for this B & B. Location, host, room, breakfast - all delightful. I loved the quiet, rural location, yet this was within easy reach of beautiful coastal drives and villages, National Trust properties, pubs and supermarkets. My room was spacious, clean and equipped with all mod cons, including a great shower. Breakfast was delicious and carefully prepared by host Alan who clearly had guests' comfort as his number one priority. He was amiable, efficient, helpful and informative. This B & B would be my choice whenever I am next in the area.

We had full breakfast ,and for lunch/evening had butchers beef stack,or chicken ,was delicous, theres a sainsburys 5 mins away, theres a park and perfectly stocked fishing lake with koi carp and other fish,and long walks through the fields.dogs are aloud.

It is a small town with several individual shops.

It is a small town with several individual shops. The panier market is lively and worth a visit for a variety of local produce and goods. Rachels cafe is good for afternoon tea with delicious home made cakes and bread. There is a small swimming pool in the town.

We visited South Molton as I had lived there as a child from...

We visited South Molton as I had lived there as a child from 1959 to 1961 and wanted to see the town again as I had not been back since leaving. I had good memories and thoroughly enjoyed the visit and would have liked more time to explore more.

I came here specifically to visit a local wool shop.

I came here specifically to visit a local wool shop. So if you're a passionate knitter, I highly recommend a visit to John Arbon Textiles. When you're here, take a side trip up to Lynton/Lynmouth or probably any other seaside village that appeals in the area. They are all picturesque and easy to reach even via public transport.

We were able to visit the north Devon coast and Exmoor. We did a combination of self-cattering and eating out. The roads around the property are quite narrow but only until you get to South Molton town which is about 10-15 minutes away.
