From the time we were checked in by Georgia at reception we experienced nothing but excellent service. She was very welcoming, friendly, efficient and helpful. We booked the accessible room and the facilities were really good. The little stair lift made it easy to get to reception with a wheelie walker, the room and bathroom were warm, comfortable, very spacious and easy to navigate for someone with mobility problems. All the hospitality staff made dinner and breakfast in the restaurant a great experience. They were friendly, quietly efficient and our food and drinks were served very quickly. The views out to the ocean from the dining area and bar/ sitting room are beautiful and added to the enjoyment of delicious, well cooked and beautifully presented meals. The tasteful Christmas decorations added to the lovely atmosphere. The property is easy to find and very conveniently located to access the town and coastal walks. On site parking was a bonus. Our whole experience at the Beach House was far above our expectations and we would definitely recommend staying there. Wish we could have been there longer !

It was perfect - exactly what me and my partner were looking for to get away for a while, we loved how the self catering aspect made it able to have cosy date nights in as that’s exactly the type of people me and my partner are, as well as being secluded and private despite being a few steps away from the centre of seahouses where we would go for a few drinks in the evening. We will go nowhere else in the future - we will be back 100%!

Fantastic old building renovated beautifully over time. Great location mere steps from the harbour. Nice big rooms and lots of history for the Inn. Even some of the royal family have visited. Lovely staff and all in all a terrific place to stay and visit.

Small fishing village with lively and friendly pubs, and...

Small fishing village with lively and friendly pubs, and some good restaurants, particularly The Black Swan and The Olde Ship. The town is a great location to travel out from though there was not much going on there (however we did visit in December). Everybody we met was friendly, welcoming and happy to tell you all the best things to do locally.

Seahouses is a great location for a short break, the area is absolutely beautiful. Quant local shops and loads of eating places. A visit to Bamburgh is also a must see. Take a stroll along the footpath below the castle and onto the terrific golden beach. Breath-taking

Seahouses is a small English seaside town, it was relatively...

Seahouses is a small English seaside town, it was relatively quiet when we went in October 2025, however I imagine that it would get very busy in the summer. If you like your coffee shops, then they are limited - although there is a very nice bakery that does a decent brew. There are some fantastic beaches within walking distance and access to both Bamburgh and Alnwick castles is great. A trip to Dunstanburgh castle is also a must. We were also able to drive across the causeway to Holy Island and spend some time there.

Great location for discovering the east coast, if you like fish and chips your in for a treat, there is also pub food but a little expensive, the 4 days we were there we visited Alnwick gardens, the holy islands and Bamburgh castle al with in easy reach,

Seahouses is a great place to base yourselves for a visit to this area. Pick your times well and you can walk to Bamburgh along the lovely sandy beach with stunning views of the Farne islands and Lindisfarne in the distance. You have a choice of shops and can get your essentials from a couple of small supermarkets. You have a choice of eateries. Overall we could have stayed longer to explore more, but we now have a reason to return.

Lovely place with plenty of shop's and pubs and eating...

Lovely place with plenty of shop's and pubs and eating places. Lovely harbour where you can sit and look out to sea and just chill. Plenty of boat trips and a couple of golf courses nearby. The walks are out of this world with stunning scenery and people are friendly.

Very homely and well equipped, almost like being in a home from home. Very comfortable in every aspect, kitchen, bedrooms, living room all faultless. Hosts and neighbours all very friendly and chatty. Location was exceptional on the Seahouses harbour. Pubs and shops and attractions all very close by, 5 minutes walk. Free designated parking spot made travelling for other towns and attractions very easy.

Great quiet location, perfect for exploring Seahouses and the surrounding area, great little cottage with all we wanted inside, giant comfortable bed, private parking right outside the door, archway a bit tight to drive through, but if careful then it shouldn't be a problem for a normal size car, this was all explained by the hosts.

The Old Buoy Inn is a newly opened hotel on Seahouses marine drive. The rooms are clean and comfortable although our bathroom was 'cosy'. The bar and restaurant areas are pleasant and welcoming. The staff are friendly and efficient. All in all a very enjoyable stay

Superb property, lovely decor. Amazing location, close to beaches, shops and pubs. Off road parking. House was nice and clean with plenty of hand wash, toilet rolls etc. Everyone on our trip has already asked to stay here again next time we visit Seahouses.
